The Narrow Narrow Narrow Road #TellYourStory #KnowYourStory #Challenge

article image placeholderUploaded by @RoosterCollins
That's why I'm doing this, that's why I do anything, is because I'm no longer trying to save anyone, because I could not save myself. I had to submit myself to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. And that's not a journey that I took very easily. So if you're an atheist, agnostic, whatever you are, if you want to talk to me about it, you could talk to me about it

A chaklenge to the weary to accept the gift of grace and personal accountability. #confessions #healing #faith #deliverance #forgivness #gratitude

So can you explain more about rooster? The narrow, narrow, narrow road. I guess I'm trying to figure out what you are asking and what you're going through

But sometimes the damage needs to be done, unfortunately, because we operate in a world as individuals, but there are people out there, and the hardest thing for anyone to do, if there's anyone in your life that has a problem with alcohol at any point in their time had a problem with alcohol, it's very hard to operate in the world. It's everywhere around you, all social situations

I'm sorry, Ellen. I don't know why you can't hear it. I've gotten responses from it, so someone heard it and I just played it back and I can hear it. So maybe it's a need to reset your device, the app or, I don't know, it might just be a glitch in the. I'm just. The challenge I'm making for people is of taking this time. Taking time, whether it be this week, next week, whatever

In fact, I thought I was managing it where I wasn't an alcoholic. I was just a drinker or a social drinker. But no, I am an expert, professional, certified alcoholic. Like, I don't ever want to have another drink again. It has done nothing but damage to my life, and I will preach that to anyone. And if you go out, you can have a drink. But I'm not going to drink. Don't offer me a drink

So, Rooster, are you trying to stop drinking alcohol? Is that why you are talking about this? This evening, you wanted to share your testimony about how you drank most of your life, and now you're trying to stop? During the month of lent, you fasted. Is that what we're talking about here?

I'm doing it on my own at the moment. I'm going to seek out counseling, church counseling, and also support groups for addicts, not just alcoholics. I have a problem with addiction to many things. And yeah, I think that's a problem with my mind and how I can't focus it. So I'm going to take the journey to health and expose myself to criticism for whatever I say

And I don't know how much I remember from what I learned ages and ages ago, but the families that I worked for would take that time, this time of fasting and then the weekend over the Sabbath, to reflect on their sins. It's kind of a new year's thing. You reflect on your sins, you repent, and then you make that change. That choice to change and do better in the next year is my understanding of it. And what you were saying reflects that

Rooster. Honestly, you only need the Lord in anything you do. If you believe in Jesus Christ and you put him first in your life, he will see you through. And he loves those who fall. Fall and get back up. Now, does that say we constantly, deliberately fall? That's the question. Does

So I understand addiction, but from a different perspective. I've been in ministry for 13 years and the type of ministry I do involves healing from trauma on all levels, which oftentimes does include addictions, which I've discovered based on my experience being in ministry, that all addictions, whether alcoholism, drug addiction, sex, porn, gambling, even shopping addictions, are rooster in the need to be loved

And that's the problem, is it's been my medication since I was a teenager, and that's 20 years ago. And it just doesn't work anymore. The medicine doesn't work anymore. In fact, it causes more trouble than it's worth. So I'm done. The alcohol thing is not a problem for me to stop now that I've realized how bad it's been and how it's just hung out with me

I totally agree. We are praying for you, Rooster. And I am hoping and believing that God will help you through this journey and that he will put the right therapist in your life to walk you through that trauma, to help you heal, to help you recover so that you can live a better life and you can feel whole because the drinking has left a hole. It's a void

Rooster, God has called you to a higher call. So know that the tragedy that is before you is only to shift you to your greatness. And God bless you. And I love you, my christian brother. And I just hope and pray that God will transform you one in a way that people will be set free. Amen. Amen

Not only that, I too know nothing about the victory lap, but you know what I started realizing? Just probably like you, for those of us who sit at home and consistently writing, consistently working, don't really put stuff out every day. Look, you're right. Quality is over quantity at all times. At the same time, it's so hard to live in a world where everyone wants things right now
@RoosterCollins

And what I'm working through right now is forgiveness and forgetting and healing and allowing God to do his work in my life. And I just want peace. That's all I want. And the only way to peace is to submit to him. So it seems like I'm on the right track, but every story is told from beginning to end, so we'll see how this all plays out. But I'm still working on it. It's a hard project to work on

So I understand why, depending on where you're from, you could be driven away because you could be so caught up trying to just. I wouldn't say fit in, but just be great enough to not question oneself. So it's strange. Like, man, it's like they say, faith without works is dead, but that includes a productive life too, within humanity. Like the faith you have to have within humanity requires a transfixation. It requires a work of mind

That's all you got to do, folks. Nobody said you got to be perfect, but use your own life's experiences to pass on to the next generation, or any generation for that matter. The everything is pretty much everything is testimony anyway. So anyway, Brother Collins, keep doing your thing, man. And thanks for the invite on this topic as well. I know I'm a little late in it, but I'm going to catch up with you. Peace

Hello, everybody. Thank you for inviting me again to comment on your swale rooster. I really appreciate it. I feel very honored and humbled at the invitation. And I'm just so happy to hear that more fellow christians are chiming in. To continue to water your seed. Because I know that the seed is there. And you have to trust it, right? You have to trust the seed. But I want to read one scripture that I wanted to mention tonight

When you were speaking to me and you saw that, you said, I see the seed in you, and you were like, I'm happy the other christians are showing up to water that seed. And I was like, no, I don't want them to water the seed. I want the water there seed. It's just. It's. And then you talk to me, and you're like, you got to trust in it. Yes

Rooster. Oh, my gosh. The Lord is so miraculous. He does things in such a wonderful way. He knows exactly how to connect his people. And so I do get it. You know, while you're sharing your testimony, it is a testament to your life, but it's also a way for you to share not only your pain, but your triumph in Christ. Right? And so I'm just so excited for you, Rooster, because you're stepping out on faith

Sure, you might have made, you may have made a lot of mistakes, but once you become a parent, you realize that it's true. You let your kids go off and make all kinds of mistakes, but there's never no, there's no, you can always come home. Then we'll celebrate. Simple. That is the core of our faith is that we have a father in heaven, and we are always welcome home. It's pretty simple

Update! 04/24/2024 https://s.swell.life/SUAx9yxf9UgRwNO |

So I have an update for anybody that is following this post or following along from the initial idea where I promised to deliver something on Palm Sunday, and boy, howdy, did I fail. And then the journey got really, really wild. And April 7, I disappeared. And today I magically reappeared, and I'm a year older, everybody, my 39th birthday, I believe. Yes, 39th birthday was yesterday. Yesterday. And I wasn't able to celebrate properly because I was indisposed

Or just like, oh, by the way, I am this person from this world. It's lit, man. I dig it. And that sucks. It sucks, man. It so sucks that you are living a similar life

@TheBriefOne WHEN IS BIG BREAKFAST? I HOUSED this in the Cellblock in my Yummy Yummy tum tums 😂What is BIG BREAKFAST? Why is BIG BREAKFAST?

I could go work in the kitchen to get double everything. Of what? Okay, I'm going out in the kitchen for sure. And you never get around to going down in the kitchen because you don't really want to. Whatever. It's just so stupid. And trays are being swapped and traded, and there's negotiations going and it's so irritatingly boring because it's so hunger focused and you just become obsessed about three square meals, okay? This is the markers of time
