Risen!: The Day I Witnessed A Miracle
So when I have a medical background, I have medical knowledge, especially emergency medicine. That's the thing, is, my specialty is emergency medicine. I'm not a doctor by any stretch of the imagination, but if we're ever together in a bad situation, I know how to keep you alive, to get you to the hospital or save your life. I just know how to do it. Trained, certified. I'm knowledgeable
And based on my index of suspicion and looking at his injuries and not knowing how long he was under the car, I was like, yeah, he is dead. He's dead as a doorknob. I've always had a problem with this in emergency medicine. It's a problem that you get once a patient's injuries are too bad, giving up on somebody, not fighting for their life, for them. And I learned this lesson
The ambulance showed up, and I just went back in the house. My neighbor was absolutely distraught. Like, my other neighbor was absolutely distraught. Walked her back to her house, sat with her for a bit, and then just went back home. Just called my wife. I was like, I can't do this anymore. I can't be alone. It doesn't bother me, like, the situation, but it was just, given my own circumstances, I had to tap out

God wanted to bring a little sunshine in my life, I guess. So he crushed a macedonian greek man under a truck and then brought him back to life just to make me feel hopeful for humanity. So, yeah, that was the time that I witnessed a miracle. Just so you guys know, love

Well, for a different time, when you shared that, I thought, oh, my gosh, that moment was rich not only for you, for the man, because I'm confident there were some things that God was working out for him and through him, his family, other people that witnessed it. It would be interesting if someone were to, you said, you're a documentary film specialist

Do you just get in the car and drive off of him, or did he jack up the wheel? I'm kind of curious about that part. But anyway, I'm glad the guy made it through. Boy, he should get on swell. Like to hear his story like the lady that answered you. It'd be interesting in times like that to document everyone's reactions and what their life was going through at the time and how at that particular moment changed their life
And Anthony Bourdain, if you know much about him, was a father. He had a daughter and he had a wife at one point that he was madly in love with a beautiful italian woman. This is all covered in the film Roadrunner, a masterful documentary. But yeah, he died. He was the most grounded individual I knew or I admired. And he ended up killing himself in a hotel room before his call time
See, I have a very low threshold for what gets me excited, or high threshold, however you want. You can see EMT, all that jazz. They haven't found me yet, Susi. That's the only problem. And I don't want to be Anthony Bourdain. I want to shoot an Anthony Bourdain show. But if they want me to be Anthony Bourdain, if they want me to be the voice and face of their show, then I guess so
