Life in Portland, Oregon. #TellYourStory #ForThePeople

There's a little more, a little more bite to them. They've, they've fallen into drugs. So this generation of young people that are out on the streets, you know, they're a little suspect. This guy that the police officer was talking, talking to had three, three. I counted them. Swords, sheath swords, but he had them at the ready. They were at his hip, his left hip

A man with three samurai swords, a cop, and two little girls. This is a true story. It happened less than 12 hours ago. Welcome to the PNW!

But seriously, there's some really scary areas. And not that far off from what you were describing. So I totally feel you. I'm glad to hear that all as well, and look forward to more of your swells. Bye

Miss Leanne, as always, thank you for replying to my as well, I, too, am happy that it all worked out peachy keen. I. You're right, is that this. This occurs everywhere in this country and here. Like I said, it's just. There's just. There's always been this problem, this issue. And, like, in that scenario, that was old hat for me

So I very, I know what a Portland street kid was and what they are now. And I also know the differences between Portland then and now. Even then, I could walk around the street and I was never, maybe I was lucky, but I was never bothered. Yes. Were there panhandling street kids? Yes, but they were asking for my change for quarters, for bus money to get home or food or whatever

And now you see what's happening in New York, unless, if you're not aware of it, news came out a few days ago, this trend of women being punched in the face by homeless people, it's just. I don't know, it's crazy, the lawlessness that occurs. I know I'm sounding ultra conservative, and I am a conservative individual, but, I mean, it's unfortunate that our country permits this type of behavior to occur in certain areas of our country

But that was one that stuck out because it happens, like, right around the corner from where I was working, probably an hour after I got off work. But, yeah, the violence here, the tweaked out drug, it's drugs. Like, everyone is on. Everyone is on drugs now. Ten years ago, it wasn't unheard of to just be fed up with. Fed up with the government and just want to live on the street and just do your own thing

Now, at the adult end of it, I'm actually entertaining the idea of pursuing a career in law enforcement because, yeah, what you're saying is this sort of stuff should not be tolerated. And unfortunately, as Ellen said, I was lucky to have a police officer even there at the time

Yes, it's due to the. Due to the ultra compartmentalization of life. As in, you even saw that the guy had Mohawks and stuff. As in, they were a part of a subculture, abandoned. So what happens? We have a whole bunch of abandoned sub coaches that are linked to certain things. Grunge, for example. Grunge and punk rock is lead to marching. Marching is linked to wrestling, actually. And wrestling is a martial art now. Hop

And it's becoming obvious to me and obvious to everyone else that is paying attention, that whatever it is, they're trying to get rid of those people with drug addiction, drug abuse and all that stuff, and they're having a good time doing it, is what I think. I don't know. What do you think? I'm gonna go back and listen. The message you said, the stuff about beggars navigate. I wrote a man, I read a book six months ago

It can be free regardless of how, like, seemingly inefficient it is. It's like, you know, that's why I like to show cowboy bebop, because it's like you see a bounty hunter who lives on a spaceship with people who are pretty much strangers, but it's. It's got this feeling where you get, like, these extremely welcoming bouts of warmth that promotes, like, an unusual amount of hope. Like, in spite of, like, anything. Regardless of anything

It's the horrible sadness of it all. And you're right, it was. I bet it was. I think it the last year of Obama and the first year of Trump. And I can't blame. That's just for me, time periods, it's really the local government that did this, too, and allowed all that to happen. But those were the time periods where it happened. It was a period of eight years

They will be heavily armed, all the SWAT team stuff, the, you know, all, everything. And any politician that would suggest that perhaps that's excessive is not going to win that election. Those are kind of the sacred cows. The military and policing, whatever they ask for, they're going to be able to secure those funds. And the politicians fall over themselves trying to outdo the other politician. Well, he wants to give $1 million. I want to give $2 million
