Of course I'm leading you to a slaughter. That's what a shepherd does with the sheep is. Leads it right to the slaughter. I thought you learned that on day one of shepherd school. What am I into right now? What am I into? Watched a movie. Deep into my theological studies, I gained a fascination for King Baldwin IV, the king of Jerusalem. And I came to a realization. We simply did not discuss the christian crusades enough. Really?

Introduction to the Rooster Collins Ministry

Spoilers fo the film "Kingdom of Heaven" Minor spoilers. You had 1000 years to hear the story

Who is Godfrey de Evelyn? Well, he is a knight. He is a knight seeking out his son Belion. And Godfrey is played by none other than Liam Neeson. Hold the phone. Liam Neeson was in a movie with Orlando Bloom about the christian crusades, and it was directed by Ridley Scott. And nobody watched it. I didn't watch it. It has a 7.2 on IMDb, everybody. It's a Ridley Scott movie. Let me tell you

There was once a man named Jesus Jeshua, as he's called in certain languages. And that man had a specific message for everyone. And when everyone heard that message, they were very confused or angry or surprisingly relieved that a messiah had finally come to rescue them from their squalor, from their hard lives under roman rule, from their hard lives under the religious persecution of the Sanhedrin or King Herod. So many people with their finger in the pot of these Israelites. Israelites. Israelites

So, yes, I know what leprosy is. Know it so much. I know it intimately. I've seen it. I've smelt it. I've smelt the wounds. Okay. Did I know that I was going to be working with someone with leprosy? No. When I was born, I didn't. When I got on the plane to go to the place where, when I did that thing, I didn't realize I was going to be doing that

What does the catholic church want you to recognize? What does it get a little too complicated for people to understand. Oh, pure heresy. Pure heresy. These thoughts that were written so many years ago and good God, who even knows who wrote that? Whatever. Who else? What other proof do we. Oh, Paul. We forgot about Paul, didn't we? St. Paul. The gospel according to Paul. Ooh, Paul, what did you do, buddy?

It. Yeah, buddy. I'm actually very intrigued by everything you're saying, and I'm looking forward to going to the next one. And I'm just going to put a picture, one more of my pieces up here to kind of represent this whole Christianity crusade. Gospel. Yeah, I'm. I'm going to the next one. Thank you for this

@RoosterCollins What's the point? #focus #community #isolation #learn #growth #content #new #show #religion

And my question to you is, as a faith based person, and if you view yourself as a leader within the community, how much of faith practice should be anchored and centered around christian fundamental belief systems and understanding of the texts, as well as the implications of policies and beliefs, and then how much time and attention should be provided to understanding other perspectives and other religious ideas?

So I think my idea, at least my faith, is going back to the source, which would be the word of Christ, which would be the gospel. And like you were saying, you grew up in a particular denomination of a particular faith, which I believe was Christian based. And like he said, if anybody disagreed, then they would be. He said, you use the words mortal danger. We're the same age

Great. You got me rambling past the Light. So I think the word. And I. And this came to me, too. Is that the word conversion and how it's used in the Bible? And I started watching a video. It was a Torah class, because it was relating the Torah to Christianity, because the book of Genesis is the Torah, which is the Law of Moses. And then there's Talmud, which were the laws that were established by the priests after Moses

@RoosterCollins Unity not religion is the path forward #believe #people #community #culture #content #perspective

I don't really care what people believe in and not believe in because it has nothing to do with me. I can only be in my mind. So I'm not quite so sure why people are so deeply concerned about what's in other people's minds. Now when you say, hey, this person has a belief and that belief now is causing tragedy and harm and murder and beyond evil, right? Like just beyond evil. Now we have a problem

And there's 24 years of history, less almost 2000 years of history, of people, creatives, intellectuals, brilliant people, much, much smarter than you and I, that also were christians and believed in Christ. The hang up, like I said, is this, or may have been another swell is a hang up on the term conversion. And there is no conversion in Christianity. It's either you accept Christ as how he's presented in the gospels or you do not

@DressingRoom8

Some of us sin by not spending time with our children and chasing after money and women, and some people sin by killing other people, literally. So we got to do the best we can. That's just it. And, yeah, I never got hung up. I just rejected all the stuff. Like, if I had been born into. Oh, some people had it rough, but I was abused with religion, but I never had it to where it was

@RoosterCollins Good regardless of Faith 🙏🏾 #people #intent #harm #community #culture #society

And I'm not going to sit here and say that there aren't good things that have happened under the tutelage or leadership of certain faith beliefs or communities, of course. But it doesn't mean that that has also meant that certain belief systems haven't perpetrated quite a bit of harm in our society over many, many years. Right?
