It just becomes shapes moving on a screen. But then where you see a lot of use of scent is in fantasy and horror movies where you are trying to say this is outside of the reality that, you know, this is full of sights and sounds that you didn't know could exist. And in fantasy, that's obviously being done in a way that is sort of playful and expansive. And in horror it's done in a way that is terrifying

And much like the sort of contemporary scores that we get from han zimmer, where there's this mixture of electronic music and tape looping and stretching and then also acoustic instruments, but not used in a traditional way or that are built specifically for the purpose of the score rather than instruments that already exist that you would find in an orchestra. So there's kind of a handshake between, like, the score of dune and going back to Tubular bells. So that really became huge
