#AskSwell | What makes you do a double take?

I think that's why on social media or on here, I really respond to posts that feel very honest, for example, or vulnerable or on the street, when somebody is very free and singing along to the music that they're playing in their headphones. Something like that, I think is what, as my eye, the most

You. Thanks for asking that question. I really like it. What makes you do a double take? And what are you doing when you do a double take? Right. It means you go, wait a minute. I feel like I'm missing something. I feel like I skipped over something. Maybe I made a judgment too quickly or too harshly. Right. Well, what makes me turn my head like that is when I see be something that's out of the ordinary. Right?

Hey, row. What an interesting prompt. I dig it a lot. It made me think about when I do a double take and what prompts it. I don't know. I feel like most of the time I do a double take. It's beauty based. Well, excuse the dogs. It's beauty based. Like something just completely takes my breath away. It's beautiful

It's interesting, this making a judgment too quickly or too harshly, because I feel like, yeah, there's an element of, like, kind of going about your day. Maybe a routine, maybe not feeling very present. I'm talking about myself. This is how I experience it. But maybe not being entirely present and then something kind of jolting me out of that kind of more mechanical movement and waking me up to remind me that I like, whoa, I'm alive

Hey, Ty, thanks for the reply. Yeah, I think you're so right on with that beauty and intuition. And I think it's really interesting how the two are so closely linked and how what you will find beautiful is very different from what somebody else will find beautiful. And that's so tied to that intuitive sense within us, what we're attracted to on some kind of granular level that sometimes is kind of hard to explain. Yeah, great observation. Thank you

I think I'd have to agree with you in that what stands out is when somebody really appears to be happy and carefree and not afraid to let their true colors show people who can really be themselves and just be happy and
