My Democratic Party meeting experience

I don't know the back stories, but I could tell that that side of the room and this side of the room and the people back there were three different groups of people. Now, I'm informed, so I recognize that man is Commissioner Mike. This man is Judge Pedro. I recognize those people. They've been on the ballot for years. Then we got to the issue of another committee, and they said, we would like the report from the Committee on Social Justice

And she was like, yeah, this was kind of crazy. I said, I came here to find out what these people are going to do to help protect my marriage and to protect me and my family. Another friend of mine that was standing right next to me, who works in politics said, some of us are trying to do that. And I wanted so hard to say, I don't see anybody doing anything other than arguing about treasury reports. When are we going to actually unite?

I spent the entire drive home, about 45 minutes drive, being angry, crying and laughing at what I had just witnessed. I mean, people were shouting, people were questioning other people's mental illnesses, supposedly. And then finally it got so out of hand when I left the room that they had to just abandon the meeting and said they'll try again next month

Okay. Wow. That could have been like a scene in a show, TV movie, what have you. Wow. I can't speak to this group necessarily because it sounds like there's a lot going on there, but I've wondered if there might be more cohesiveness on the right versus the left because they're all centered or largely centered around faith. There's a unifying factor to that, where on the left there's a lot of different perspectives

I know how that feels and I know how rooted and closely connected everything is based on that aspect. And I guess my frustration is just because this is the only group of the two choices of the two, this is the only chance that we would have to make sure it is not illegal for me to go to the library or for my marriage to be overturned, things like that. Things that are pretty important. So also, politics happens to be one of my special interests

That's how powerful this man's family is. It will not matter. No matter what I do with that information, it won't happen. And I'm just like, it shows the gravity of this situation. And I'm like, Wait. So the reason that we couldn't even keep decorum or agree on social racial disparities and discrimination existing in this county is because the chairwoman is legally bound to not even be allowed to speak over one of the voices about this?
@SeekingPlumb

@riverhunter87

If that's the case, I don't know that that's necessarily a legal thing. It might be like a civil suit wanting to sue someone for, quote, unquote, silencing them in an attempt for there to be other voices as well. I don't know. Something's not adding up here. It does not make sense. I mean, if she is essentially powerless and this other person has greater power, what's the title this person's holding?
