The Beauty in a Raindrop ~ poetry by Slay 4/16/23

article image placeholderUploaded by @Renee_Slay
This piece is called The Beauty and a Raindrop by Renee Slay dancing in rhythm with the wind as they make their way glistening timeless raindrops dripping throughout the day they come from so far up yet land with grace and ease as gentle as the clouds and as soft as the traveling breeze falling in such a wondrous light throughout the blue skies only to puddle on the ground at my feet until it dries such a beauty in their passing as only the calm eye sees the rain in its glory as from the clouds it must flee the resemblance in a raindrop to the crying eyes tear so close as the thunder rolls and lightning rages near the greatness in its journey as it puddles below my feet to give Mother Earth nourishment, for she must quickly eat

And I really appreciated the post and I responded by telling him there are indeed happy poets, even those who may post poems that are sad and they speak about trauma and troubling times. It doesn't mean that they're not happy poets. It's just that a lot of times people when people are happy and they're having a good time and they have a lot of money and they don't have seem to have no troubles in the world

But I do think that the most sensitive people tend to make the best artist because they feel so intensely. And our strongest feelings because we don't like them are those negative emotions, are those injustices, are those things that we write most passionately about? Because let's be honest, the passion that comes out in that type of poetry when you are truly feeling it is amazing and it's touching and your readers feel with you. I only hope that I can do that with the other poetry as well

It. Hello, Renee. I absolutely love that poem. And the crazy thing is that I don't usually like rain when it happens. Like, oh, I hate rain, blah blah, blah. And we get caught up in the riff raft so much sometimes that we do forget to stop and appreciate something like rain, because rain has so many benefits. Rain is washing away worries. Rain is nourishing

You know how much of an affinity I have to the rain and that psychic connection that I have to the rain, storms and water. So this piece obviously absolutely resonated with me. I love it, love it, love it, and it's just beautifully written and beautifully recited, and I just really appreciate it. I love anything that draws attention to rain and the beauty of what the rain actually displays and brings and the emotional connection that we have to weather and seasons and all of that organic nature

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, mama. I knew you would resonate with this because of because of your affinity for the ring, because of your draw. So I'm really, really glad you got to listen to it. And I'm really, really glad that it touched you. And I'm really super glad that you're such an awesome, wonderful sister and that you're in my life. Thank you. Thanks again
