Dear Eve ~ poetry by Slay ~ 4/9/23 ~ just a silly one I wrote waaay back!
When I first got it, I used to complain about oh, it hurts so bad, whatever. And my grandmother and my mom would always tell me that it was Eve's fault that we have pain when we have PMS or menstruate. And she said it was her fault also that women have pain when they deliver babies. That if she had never taken the apple that the serpent told her to take that no women would be experiencing any pain during all of that
And we're both poets and we've both gone through so much of the same things that it just makes our friendship even all the more profound and amazing and meaningful. So thank you for inviting me to this piece and just thank you for being there. I appreciate you more and more and more every single day

I'm so glad you got a kick out of this. She lied, because after kids, I did just jump around a little bit. I did the same thing. I still had bad cramps until I got my partial hysterectomy, so now I'm good. But, yeah, I'm glad you got a kick out of it. And you just said one of the most amazing compliments. Everything you say to me is a compliment
