Disrespectful and Rude Coworkers - How do you react? Let's talk about it!
If you're going through some things, and I'm sure she is, but if you're going through some things, why bring that to people? One, to work, like, keep your s*** at home, but why then bring that to people that are just being nice to you or being polite and acting how they should be acting at work? And I want to know your opinions on or your past experiences when you've been faced with something like this at work

And I don't even care if people walk in and not knock on the opened door first. I kind of don't care if my door is open, come in. Meet office is sue office. But if my door is closed, no, don't do that knock turn handle thing. That's rude. Two, don't just turn the handle and come in. I can't stand it
How do I make my autistic child do this or that? Instead of interpreting the undesired behavior as an attempt to communicate, although not being equipped in the moment, or an attempt to connect, but not being equipped to communicate that all of these things take into consideration, then I wonder, what is it she's experiencing? Why did she say that she don't talk to me? Was she in one of those states where it was too intense for someone to be speaking at her?

So it's like I want to just shake her and say something. But you can't make somebody stand up for themselves. But then I'm that chick that's also got to go for the underdog. Like, she won't stand up, so I'm going to stand up. And I've actually controlled it quite well. I did mention I did not trip her. I have not tripped her. Her. I have not gone off on her

Hi there. I appreciate you piping in on this and it's actually given me a very different perspective. So okay, a little more about what's going on with her just because I'm in the know her boyfriend works there and he's not a nice person. He dates more than one coworker at a time, but he tells everybody to keep quiet, to keep it professional. Well, they became on again, off again after some of that got out
So my ups and downs prior to knowing that I'm autistic was very different versus now also it varies throughout life. And this I didn't understand at first, but when you're a kid, your parents are managing a lot of life's challenges that you don't have to worry about. And so your experience of the world as an autistic person is going to be a little bit more constrained in what you have to deal with

But I'm an empath, so it's hard for me when I can't understand or analyze why someone acts the way that they act, because I can generally understand it. I don't know if that makes sense. I generally know why people are being the way that they are. And with situations like this, it's hard because if it's a behavior that I can't understand that I myself cannot grasp why someone would be that way, then I struggle with defense

And sadly, we don't live in an ideal world. The world itself is a beautiful place, but it's the people in it. So we can be kind, we can be gracious, we can be respectful. It doesn't mean we're not going to get it back. Everyone don't reciprocate. We live in this. As I mentioned in one of my poems, it seems like right is wrong, and wrong is right in the world of contradiction

That was my role growing up. So I see now just through what you said and you didn't even mean to do this, I'm sure, but that's the connection. It was not so much defending myself with this girl, although it got on my nerves, it did, that she was acting that way because I don't understand. I can empathize with any situation until it's one that comes from a space that I can't feel
