Safe Place - TRIGGER WARNING - poetry by Slay ~ This... is my first memories. In working through my darkness I created this. Forgive me if I fumble.
And I reach out to stop her, to carry her away. But my hand slides right through her again and again as I beg her not to walk away. She can't hear me. She can't see me because I am her. She is three years old and me broken more each and every day as I sit, power us in dirt in a place that was supposed to keep all of these demons from the innocent. Renee. Thank you

It's so very powerful and so touching. And I appreciate you sharing your words. And the structure that you put it in makes it nearly palatable. And the vivid imagery is almost more than I can stand. It's so real. And I applaud you for your strength in bringing to light the truth of what hides inside

And I think of her with a lot of love and a lot of empathy, and I mother her every chance I can get in the most unconditionally, loving way. And when I get triggered or activated, when my inner child gets triggered or activated, I remind her that we are safe now and I will never let anything happen to her again. And that has worked wonders in my healing

Because I've always felt that if I could turn all this bad into something that helps someone else, if my story lets someone feel okay, then it puts value back to that story rather than me feeling like, why? So I needed that. And you were put in my path today for a reason. And I really appreciate you and everything that you said and I'm going to use it. It every day a little better. Thank you so much for sharing

And you are a victor because you are able to use your words to share the trauma that you have experienced and endured and an example of what healing out loud, living out loud looks like. Thank you for being that. For those who are not yet ready to share, not yet able to use their voice to give voice to what they've experienced

When you see the payoff for somebody else and it's so freaking amazing. So I'll get that wonderful benefit that we get when we are able to connect with someone else and help them in any way as an empath. But I'll also get no telling what because you all know I'm already out of control. So I wonder, d***, they may have to mark all my s*** rated R after this. I don't know
