Social Media Attacks ~ poetry by Slay 4/10 ~ written in support of Dylan Mulvaney, Bud Light, and any person attacked for any reason. Stand UP.

It's my first time actually reading it out loud, so I opened my social media unsuspectingly to waste some time I had downtime and I wanted to relax. I was seeking laughs, maybe inspiration photos of those I know or some easy to do life hacks. But I'm met with so much bullshit in post after post of people grouped up and in packs, spewing hatred and all laughing because they find humor as they viciously and publicly attack

But we need numbers of people that are speaking up and voting in the ways that can make change. And you're one of those brilliant, beautiful souls that have been sent here to be a dragon, to be a Lionesse. And don't hide it. It's part of your purpose. So keep going. You can't take on everything, but you know the things that really speak to you. I've had to figure out, and it's everyone's individual journey

And like I said, I'm sorry, and I hope things change. Anyway, I'm falling like a baby, and I just wanted to tell you thank you because you really touched me

How beautiful it is, how well written, how every single syllable in line is perfect for delivering the message and the punch that you want it to deliver. And you punched, baby. You punched hard. And I love you for it, every bit of it. I'm just so grateful and so thankful to be a part of this poetic tribe here on Swell and that you are a member

You, thank you. Thank you. You beautiful soul. I just wish I could do more. I feel like, oh, I'm going to cry again. Jesus, every time I get on this, y'all making me cry tonight. I don't feel like I'm doing enough, you know what I mean? I'm so passionate about it and but I don't know that like, I don't know that I'm doing enough, I guess

We're going to feel our feelings and all of their feelings, and then we also feel what's going on in the collective. So part of this is discerning what's yours and what's theirs, and also how much you can and can't take on. And that's okay. It's all a process. There's no rush. And if you need to pull back and go inward, that's beautiful, too. You don't have to take it all on

So even in removing the overwhelming, it lingered because of that call, that call that involves everything about the shift. And man, it's a lot. Because to be honest, I think the reason I feel like there's more to be done is because I'm supposed to be doing more, but I can't figure out what they want me to do or how to do it. I've asked, but I'm not getting clear direction

I deactivated my Facebook page quite some time ago because it was too much negative content. So I treat social media the way I treat my food. I'm very careful with what I put into my system. It's just something to think about. Like I said, I can relate to how you feel. Renee and you have a right to speak up. You have a right to voice your opinion on a grand scale if you want to

And I literally just wrote a gay anthem song myself that I posted on here called Our Time. So I'm glad that I discovered you. And, yeah, you're doing great. It was great reading that. Thank you. Bye

But now, even now, I'm like, it's a rare thing that I'll go on there and just scroll, and I just happened to that day, and it affects me because I hate bullying in any form, and I hate that people can't just live their lives. And I feel driven in a way that is it has to be purpose. Like, it has to be part of why I'm here. But it gets really painful sometimes, so I'm better

You. Thank you so much. I appreciate it so much. You have no idea. I love finding that other people feel the same. And I am going to definitely go check that out on your swell as well. And love, love, love that. They're a good hearted people out there, and I'm finding a lot of them here, which is freaking amazing. Like, thank god, because I live in texas, honey, and it's like they all have the same mentality

This is a global scheme, nothing more

So anything that is not a biological male or biological female of whatever gender or whatever this is, in truth, this is mental illness. The man who was in that Bud Light commercial is mentally ill. It needs to be evaluated, needs to live in a mental asylum until he is on the proper medication, then to be released. Men are not supposed to want to dress up like women it's like a debauched act

And this is possibly going to be it's good that we're having this conversation because I can get your perspective and hopefully you can get mine, because I'm hoping that you are not so cut off and closed off by your thecrusader and by your interpretation of a Bible written by man. And you can say what you want about that. That's a whole nother debate, but that you cannot open your heart to love
