Creativity Challenge Time!! ~ CALLING ALL SHORT STORY WRITERS, ARTISTS, POETS, CREATIVE SOULS ~ What does this inspire?
Hey, hey, it's Renee Slay, and it is that time again. Our Creativity Challenge is up for the week. This is a new segment I am doing. I'm trying to get in one a week. And this is the photo that I've added for everyone to see what comes from it. I don't like to give too much of a backstory because I don't want to hinder anyone's creativity. But with this one, I can tell you that I love going into nature
Long, long ago, sir Philip Fluffernickle of one of the oldest forests in the world had been planted as a wee seed within the boundaries of the state of Texas. And at this point, he was fed up and entirely incensed with these people called Americans. Who does that? Oh, fish pus for brains. Two legged virus. Think he is using my beautiful wizened skin, my body as a canvas? I was looking so majestic after so many years of growing here
I cast you away from this planet, you evil, evil being. Or figment of my imagination. Or rather figment of the imagination of the buffoon that was here earlier. Just big gone with you. And I never want to see you again. About twelve years later finally all of the residue that had been left behind of the neon green of that strange creature, real or not, had finally disappeared. And Sir Philip Fluffernickle could go on about being majestic

Oh, I should have known you were going to jump right down on this one. Oh, it's so good. Now it like, messes with me, because what am I going to do? I don't even know. I was fixing to start working on it when I got the notification that you had posted on it, and I was like, oh, wait, let me check this out. Oh, you're setting a bar. I don't appreciate
Oh, no, I'm sorry. I didn't want to disrupt any creative process that's happening over there. I couldn't help it. This one just, like, grabbed my imagination in multiple ways and I had so much fun with it. I hope you don't mind, but, like, I sort of did a reeswell via my own account, but also sort of saving the links to my stories just so I can find them easier down the line year from now or whatever

Oh, my God. You gotta teach me accents. That is priceless. Yes. Yes, girl. Reese well away. I want more people hopping in on these. These are awesome. You're killing me. You have got to do voiceovers, mama. Not everybody has the talent that you do. That is f****** amazing
I do. If I spend time with people who have a British accent, I'll start to have it become a part of the way I'm speaking, which not intentionally, anyway. In the theater company, we had to do our best to strip out all accent so that we could be somehow neutral no matter what environment we were entering. But I don't know if I still have that or if it's bled back in. I know what I'm tired

I'm okay. This is my poem about the little green alien tree. They say that I dream too much and that I should just let it go my imagination is an overdrive and it's time to act my age and grow. My stories are all stories no one believes because I'll have no proof to show. But they'd be shocked in disbelief even with the evidence sense that only I now know. I know it sounds a little crazy the things that I have tried to warn them about

Okay. I don't know how you did that, but in your poem, there's this there's not only the story and there's mystery, but there's also, like, a spiritual aspect somehow, some way. I don't know, but, like, you've woven these things so beautifully together, I don't even I don't know how how I just want to, like, send you lots of hard eye emojis because that just embodies what I'm feeling about this one

You would be able to do you would have win an award for a Texan accent. You would. Or Southern. Okay. Southern I get is a lot more than Texas, but I have a very small geographical brain since I haven't been anywhere. Like when you showed oh, I think it was the rabbit, and I saw that snow, I was like, oh, snow, snow angels. Yay. I don't know. I saw snow once, twice. Once
Oh, my goodness. It didn't even dawn on me that snow would be something that you don't see often. Yes, of course. And it's so different, really. I mean, I don't want to go on about it, but it's I when I what I grew up with in Pennsylvania and upstate New York versus the different places in Canada, it's very different. But anyway, access renee you know what? I don't know what kind of Southern accent it was

It's. It is 03:41 A.m., and I just got finished doing two things. Number one, viewing the tragedy over there in the state that you live in Texas. Wow. You I was able to gain some degree of sanity, however, after listening to Seeking Plumb, a capital B for brilliant. The story, the creativity, the voice, sheer brilliance. I'm in awe. Thank you, Renee. Seeking Plum. I don't know
There's just so much power in imagination and creativity, and each time I witness it, once again, its effects on somebody else, whether I had a part in that or not, it gets me excited, because I'm like, that right there is what we need more of. And so hearing you share this, it gives me the warm buzzies. Thank you
Anyway, here's one of the photos showing horror, frost and the little crystals on the trees. And so I think maybe I mentioned, maybe I didn't, that it's when the fog moves in and the temperatures are up below freezing. Anyway, one day I was standing beneath a tree like this, and then the temperatures began to warm up and all those little crystals began to fall. And it looked like it was snowing

Normally most other life forms, like human beings, aren't able to see that stamp. So for any other human being walking the woods, it would just look like a regular tree trunk. The only way that you can see this stamp is if in a previous life form, you were once an alien. And so there's some facet of that that's still a part of your soul that allows you to be able to see it in no one else. And so renee wow
Okay. Dale I love this. I love this because I watched too many, like, drama crime shows, detective or police trying to solve something. And so you've got the different parts of the city, are the different gangs and the different marks that the graffiti on the walls and so on. And so just like some different places in the universe have these different of alien groups, stamps, and then not being able to see it unless maybe you had these prior connections. I just love this

It's something I don't know or something about cyborgs and I don't know, something for sure along that general creative line. Sorry, I'm running water. I'm going to think harder on that on a crafty way to have you stored in my phone, if we ever did. And I do want to know what mine would be, because that could be interesting. Like you mean to tell me because keep in mind their log cabin, they're toting around most of the time in the pictures. It's like pretty much straight up. So they're building this thing around their whole back end because it's a worm. And then they're taking their back end and they're holding it straight up in the air. Oh my God, I can't I mean, that's mothers everywhere carrying the whole load and the logs are like perfect
Ha. Believe it or not, I'm catching every word. Do you know there are some people where I'm like double checking the screen? Is this really two times? I need four or five times for some people. Being brought to life should be a blessing to me yet I prefer to be an inanimate object stuck on a tree. I like being green because human beings, black and white can't get along regardless on who's right or wrong. I'm a loner and I continue to run for my assignment like Jonah. The pain and suffering, senseless violence, racism, sexism, oppression, homelessness, war, human trafficking, molestation we have to save the babies. We have to save the earth

You, everyone. Here's my poem for this photo challenge. It's called kingdom come. What we see together, real. Even if they say, you don't know what you're talking about. What we feel so deeply real. Even if they say, you're imagining things. What we give each other heels. They don't know anything about believing. So the photo just reminded me about the power of imagination and belief and all things mystical and inexplicable
