IS THERE A GOD??

article image placeholderUploaded by @RenaS
There was a moment I did believe in God when, unfortunately, I was involved in a gun incident where someone was shot and killed very close to me in the room. And I ducked for cover and I found myself praying a Jewish prayer of the shama. And at that moment, I did find that my faith and my Jewishness came to me, and that was what I believed in. But right now, I don't know. So I'm putting it out there. Do you believe in God?

What is the moment you decided to believe or not in a god? #God #Spirituality #Jewish #Mothernature #Believe

Like all these all these terrible things that happen I make jokes and I glib a bit, but you also have to kind of look at it as a whole. And I think when it comes to not only questioning if there's a God, but also looking further into some of the claims of religion, I think that really does one of the big things that religion doesn't care for, which is questioning, which is trying to have a greater understanding

I believed in God with every fiber of my being for about three and a half decades. I wouldn't say there was a defining moment that changed things for me, but instead it was more gradual. I grew up with lots of questions, but I was told because or have faith. So I leaned really hard into having faith. And at some point, as I got older, I began to allow myself to actually ask the questions again

@RenaS I think religion has given us the wrong idea of God. The believer doesn't know what he is worshipping. Or the atheist, what he is rejecting.

Now, all of a sudden they become a bit more subtle or they become more neutral and they become more accepting. Prayer is in fact, meditation. God is in fact, life. You don't have to really go somewhere to look for God. The divine is inside you. Well, that's my understanding of it. And religion tries to enforce control, spirituality tries to liberate you. And therein you will find God. You don't really have to go anywhere

However, I think our definition of God is very limited. And I think you can't really our understanding of God is through the filter of culture and ego and other things, even geography. And I think my definition of God in this definition I don't believe excludes anyone else's. I believe that God is a multidimensional reality consisting of infinite possibility. And I also believe that God is wholeness. And it's that sense of completeness that everything is there, the universe is complete and you have everything

And she's like, you don't believe in God. Why are you telling me this? And he was saying, theo ratio between electromagnetic field and theo strong field is exactly one. And if it wasn't, nobody would be here. And she said, yes. He said, well, looking at the evidence, it would lead you to believe that there's a power greater than us that put this together. How can that happen? By accident

Well, I believe that Theo concept or the belief is too small. I really don't sit in conversations where people believe that they have it. Because I believe if you got it, I don't want it. It's as simple as that. Because if that's the case, then what is faith for? Number One?

And for those of you again, who don't know what a canter is, I say it's a rabbi who sings, but it's a spiritual leader in the Jewish community. And I asked her and she converted. She was actually raised Christian and then converted to Judaism and then found her way to theo cantorial world. And I asked her if she believed in God and she said theo most beautiful thing that I just wanted to share that to her, god is found in the human connection
