Tomorrow is not Guaranteed
It was a slushy winter Wisconsin night, and my olive green grand Cherokee started to spiral on the freeway, first hitting the abutment, going backwards, continuing to spin. When it finally came to arrest and I turned my head to the right, I saw an 18 wheeler semi coming straight for my passenger side door. Time seemed to stop in those moments, although it was probably less than a second or two
But I feel like regardless, we go through this period in life and eventually we get so caught up usually that we kind of become more separate from the realization. We drift from that realization that life is precious and very temporary. And later, down the road, we have another instance, and maybe it's a near death experience similar to yours, or maybe it's another loss of a loved one, but it's this perpetual lesson that keeps coming around
