Short Review of The Deepest Breath

article image placeholderUploaded by @ReelTalker
We see a bunch of disturbing things like how these free divers, they experience blackouts where they need to be saved once they go up there by all these safety divers, and just what happens to their lungs from holding their breath for as long as they did. I couldn't even believe the stuff that I was watching on there. It's insane. But it shows just how dangerous this sport is because it's almost like you have to know that you're risking your life doing this

Okay. This has been on my list for for a minute, and now you've pushed me to check it out. I heard somebody talk about it on a podcast recently, too, and it just seems insane. So I feel like the way you're talking about it also reminded me a little bit of the movie. There's also a documentary fire of Love. Did you see that? Because yeah, I'm interested. It's sports of the way you're talking about it

Thanks. Hey, thank you for sharing this. It was on my list and now I'm bumping it up on that list because I really appreciated your review here. It's interesting because a 24 obviously being known for doing a lot of horror movies these days, putting out something like this when I think that this is genuinely much more scary than most of those horror movies are

Pushing to the edge

But I enjoy watching, and I have huge respect for people that are able to pull some of those things off because they're pushing to the limits. They're pushing to the edge. And most people in America do not push to the edge in their own ways. The goggins type, which honestly, they need to make a documentary about goggins, but they haven't yet. Someday. Someday it's going to happen. I think they're making a documentary about Born to Run based on the book

It's just amazing what some people can do. And I also love that you said that the documentaries that you mentioned are more terrifying than The Deepest Breath, because yeah, Deepest Breath, it was pretty high pulse racing for me. And for me, I'm like, the more terrifying, the better. I mean, horror is one of my favorite genres, so even more so when it's a documentary

And it's very interesting that you mentioned that with A 24 how with the horror films that they've been putting out there lately that's been helping them be put on the map, it's very true that they really do know how to find a terrifying direction through all that. I mean, I just saw the movie Talk to Me, if you haven't seen that movie. Highly, highly recommend it. Everyone talks about Hereditary being the best a 24 horror film. Not for me

Yes, I did see fire of love. That one was really good. So glad that it was on my Disney Plus account and that it was I feel like it was the only best documentary nominated movie that I cared to see. But, yeah, I really liked that one. And thank you so much for listening to my swell. I'm so happy that my review helped you bump up deepest breath onto your watch list. Please let me know what you think once seeing it

So I went and checked because I was curious. Meru is available on Amazon Prime. Last breath is not. I can't find it on Crunchyroll. It's available to stream as far as, like, they're wanting you to rent it, which kind of sucks. I feel like it was on Netflix for years, but it looks like it may not be on one of the streaming platforms. But I did post the trailer here so that anybody that wants to can check it out
