Building generational wealth through real estate investment

article image placeholderUploaded by @realtorTeisha
And last week, basically the podcast was all about that building generational wealth, wealth, real estate investment and how to get your first investment property or your first home in general. We spoke with Justin Woods from All Western Mortgage and he gave some great advice. So I would encourage everybody to hop on over to wherever you get your podcast from and give that one a listen. All about building generational wealth

This absolutely made me buying property for the first time so much more feasible than even where I am originally from in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and I've lived in California and New York, which really was not at all close to an option if I wanted to buy something. So I chose to do that because of everything that you were mentioning. I was like, okay, I'm really scared to do this. Especially I'm doing it alone

And sometimes, as we've seen, it can go up way more than that just in, you know, a year or two. It depends on the market. But historically speaking, long term, those homes are going to go up in value and you're going to be able to have that equity recoup your cost

And even it's so interesting because I remember when I was talking to my brother about taking this step and I was really nervous. He was telling me about a co worker of his who has bought a lot of houses. He's had to move a lot with his family because he works in the film industry

And yes, I did have to pay money to be a part of this mentor group, to be able to have access to this level of rich information. And people that are like, here our list of title companies and notaries and banks and so on and so forth, and all of the resources that you need to be successful as a real estate investor. And it feels good to be able to have this information now and in essence, being the know of it

Not that you have to use their recommendations, maybe you'll find another route or a preferred lender you like to work with, things like that. But the real estate agent is going to be able to guide you in the right direction for all of those questions that you have and make sure that you're going to get a good return on your investment

Is there a Realtor or someone knows of a Realtor in that area that can provide comps or share more information about that vicinity? I have a few Realtorteisha I'm aware of and one, I want to have more of it because we have just met and I really want to invite her to brunch and have more of a face to face conversation versus let me hop on a text and chat with her. And so that's my plan with that particular person

Hey. I don't know how I missed your comment here a few days ago, but I just wanted to say that I'm so happy that it sounds like you have a really good networking group and you found strong supporters to help you achieve your goals. I think that's one of the most important things that you can do to set yourself up for success. So cheers to you
