So what he feels is that the question he asks us is that does not the promise of a lifelong job with assured promotions, perks and access to resources that are unavailable to the common man encourage or foster our culture of limited accountability with very few incentives to perform well and a ton of opportunities to just slack off and abuse the system?

The candidate needs to be able to answer a variety of questions related to the social, economical, political and civic developments in India and also across the globe. So it is not an easy cup of tea. I don't think it's everybody's cup of tea, rather. So definitely the students who have cleared this or who have stopped this need to be applauded. And the author mentioned that very rarely do we encourage our children to take up politics. Right

Or sorry, that life which is luxurious and full of perks. And so it is a bureaucrat when it comes to getting important positions in cities like Mumbai and Delhi and Bangalore and others. So one solution, I think, is political reform where there's more scrutiny on the behavior of bureaucrats and the others. Like you said, it's sort of reducing how coveted this post really is

Okay, I am forgetting the exact specific cognitive bias, but it is one of those things where people feel like they haven't really done anything wrong. My guess is those two Is officers that did the dog walking thing, they probably thought they deserved to have an empty park for their dog, right? Why? Because we keep Delhi safe, we protect all of these fledglings from harm, we ensure that justice is brought in the city, blah, blah, blah
