Anything that keeps you at the feet of Jesus IS a good thing!

And that, my friends, is my sweet, sweet Jesus. Remember, Jesus said that Mary chose the good part and it would not be taken away from her. So that tells me that we must choose the good part. We must choose Jesus. Now, I know the Lord would never minimize our pain. He cares about it all. But he will help us reorient our hearts and minds to put things back into proper or kingdom perspective

I think they're both examples of grace in different ways. And Martha's consciousness of grace comes from, I think, some idea of a performative acceptedness where it hasn't been fully earned or realized and she needs to present well. And I thought a lot about this in sort of reflective of the bride preparing to receive the bridegroom in terms of Christ and the preparedness of it and the fuss and the ideas about acceptability

So while I'm intrigued by this different perspective, I think we must be careful to guard the integrity of the scriptures. Right? And one of the ways we can do that is by trusting what jesus'own words were to Martha. And I don't think he was rebuking her for being caught up and being the hostess with the mostest

Any teacher worth half of their salt would tell you that. However, when it comes down to their personhood as a student, not measuring performance, because this isn't about a measurement, right? It's about them being in the room. I can't call that better or worse. It might come down to my experience being better or worse, but I don't know. We're talking about something different than an attainment, but I don't know

And that's so needed too, because I think back, I did go to public school for my entire school life. And I just think back at some of the teachers that really impacted me both negatively and positively. So that's just really important work. So bless you for that. And just. Yeah, thank you for the conversation, and I hope to have more conversations with you in the future. Talk to you later
