Our mindset or the way we perceive and interpret the world around us has a significant impact on our thoughts, emotions, behaviors and ultimate layer outcomes in life. There are some key reasons why shifting from a negative positive mindset is important. First of all, it improves mental health. Second, it increases our motivation and productivity. Third, it enhances our problem solving skills. Fourth, it leads to better relationships

Hello, Dr. Ruhi. Anshika the side. Well, as we know that our internal mindset reflects our exterior self. And when one has optimistic take on life, they'll surely become the best versions of themselves, while the pessimistic mindset will have the completely opposite effect. Our mind is a very powerful tool. We can modify it as we desire and convert our lives upside down. But as for today's time period period

Hi, Ruhi. Welcome to today's podcast. So my first question is that going through your profile, I learned that you are a mindset coach. So can you please tell all our listeners, what exactly does a mindset coach do and what kind of an impact do you have on your clients? What kind of role do you play in their personal journey? Thank you

But sometimes we have these limiting thoughts or negative beliefs of ourselves, otherwise we have these inhibitions that we have learned from society. Our conditioning is such sometimes that we feel that these goals are too much or too big or non achievable. So a mindset coach will help you change these perspective and recognize these patterns of thinking or your behavior patterns which are sometimes self sabotaging so that you can change these thoughts, emotions and behaviors and convert whatever success that is your definition of success and convert your reality into that path

So many people struggle with a negative thought pattern and selflimiting beliefs. How do you help these people navigate their thoughts towards a more positive way of thinking and an empowering way of thinking?

How we start is with awareness and reflection of understanding where the person is in their life right now. What is it that they have achieved, what are the resources that they have and what is it that they are falling shortage and then challenging those beliefs and the notions that the person has created. Then what we do is something called as cognitive restructuring where we work on the thought patterns and replacing the negative thoughts into positive ones. Now, there are many ways to do it

You. That's very, very interesting. So my next question is how important is self awareness in this journey of mindset? Transformation importance. Hair is journey may. And what techniques do you use to help people develop an understanding of themselves, their own mind, how they function?
@DrRuhiSatija

So these are some things that we do apart from that of course, like I said, CBT techniques, cognitive distortions, working on them, belief explorations and then the fun techniques for example visualization art therapy. These are some of the techniques that we use for person to really get a grasp of who they are. To be honest, if people can understand who they are that is the greatest gift that they can give to humanity and to yourself

What suggestions or what advices would you give to them to help those people who want to be positive, who want to be optimistic, who want to change their mindset, who want to establish a kind of self confidence but because of the people, because of the surroundings and because of some appreciations which they want and they don't get and they resist being positive at that time, what could help them to achieve that positive, optimistic mindset and defeat that pessimistic mindset of themselves?

I've been doing it for more than five to six years now. But my journey started in mental health more than ten years ago. And over the time I have realized that there is a huge need of learning how the brain works for the general people. Because many times this anxiety and depression can actually be avoided or prevented. If we knew these techniques, if we knew early on how to take care of Mind, just like we talk about physical health, right?

Hello, ma'am. So, first of all, it's always really nice to have people, successful people and some inspiring people like you on this app and to have a conversation with you. So my question is that in the world where the competition is extremely high and the pressure on the students is so much that they end up thinking so negatively because of the stress and due to which they commit suicide. Right

It has nothing to do with that personality characteristics, it has to do with that neurochemical imbalance because of stress or that emotional instability that happens because of long term stress. So we need to really recognize it and engage your mental health professional who can really help with this

That is very, very enlightening for me because I was not so much aware of the external self awareness part. I mean, subconsciously everybody is aware about it, but I think conceptually now it's becoming more clear to me. So now let's talk goal setting and achieving success. So how do you help your clients set realistic goals and how do you then help them in achieving those goals? And what role does mindset play in setting and reaching those goals?
@DrRuhiSatija

Aligning your core values and then assessing your strengths, weaknesses, that if this is the goal you want, what are the strengths that you already possess, which can be the plus point? And what are the weaknesses that we need to work on? Maybe there are some skill sets that you need or some behaviors that you need to achieve that goal. That is the first thing we do, that SWOT analysis to understand that where the person is there in their life and where they are coming from

Thank you for explaining this so well and in so much detail. So my next question is negative selftalks and self doubt can be really big barriers to personal growth, right? What strategies do you recommend for individuals to cultivate a more positive inner dialogue and boost their self confidence?

And then you can use techniques like visualizations imagery or mindfulness that will help reducing the intensity of these negativity thoughts and negative thoughts and the negativity that it builds up. The emotions that it builds up. Apart from that very important. Have a tribe for yourself. Have people around you which influence you positively. Read books, listen to people, listen to podcasts like this one, right? Which can give you insight into that there is a better world outside or there are possibilities outside

You. What you need to learn about is boundaries. So creating some healthy boundaries at workplace with the professionals, even in your personal life, if you are suffering, understanding that there is something called as physical boundaries, emotional boundaries, putting some limits on the type of conversations that you have, duration that you have, is essential in understanding these concepts. It is a whole different arena where you need to learn some skills, et cetera, so that you are able to navigate through the situation

Great conversation. I have listened so far. It going to help to those in our younger generation who wants just quick everything quickly they want and their mindset have no passions when the when we talk about the result and at that time, they goes in depression and they commit suicide, I hope. Dr. Rohi, I just want to ask you about this, particularly that what what guidelines you want to give to those students who just fail in exam. They commit suicide who just break up in their relationship

So recognizing these things and early intervention, which means involving a mental health professional, is very very important because if there's something like depression or suicidality just by talking to them, it will not help. Sometimes we need medical intervention, sometimes we need therapy, which is counseling basically to help them get a better perspective towards whatever they are going through and help them navigate through a difficult situation
