Jake tried turning his head to get a look at the room, but that movement set off multiple eruptions in his head. Jake closed his eyes and lay still for a few moments. After a while, he tried again, and this time he turned his head slowly. His head was still pounding, but it wasn't like the jackhammers from a few moments ago. Jake decided to try to sit up. He swung his legs over the side of the bed and pushed himself slowly to a sitting position

Because I could definitely feel Jake, his mental, how he's feeling on the inside and what he's interacting with. That's a great thing as a writer. So I really liked reading your excerpt and hopefully have more. All right, great work, and you have a good rest of your day
