Bi-Racial People & Identity

It's long time no talk, Professor 42. Happy Black History month. Some of you may be wondering why I am creating a new swell. I thought you were done with this platform, professor. And I am. But before I left this platform, I switched to a narrative of creating wells that mattered, creating swells that highlighted issues, things that I thought were important. And today's swell is about biracial people or mixed race people. So what inspired this swell?

We as people need to do better. Why is it an issue on now someone indentifies

Because what I wanted to be really clear, especially the area that my nieces are being raised in, I wanted to be clear as a reminder and open up the floor for a dialogue between myself and my sister in law and my brother. Hey, they are being raised in a predominantly white area. And please be sure that they understand their black and brown history

I obviously can't really fully give my opinion because, again, it's not really my place to say, but I feel as though you are valid because you definitely would want your nieces and nephews to experience both sides kind of going on that train of thought. I know I mentioned this before, but my niece is biracial as well. But because she has a darker complexion, you can't tell she's biracial. So primarily she's been around my family
