FREEDOM

article image placeholderUploaded by @prisonerofpradi
The hunger strike was because the turkish authorities decided to build a smaller prison and transfer prisoners there. This prison where prisoners live is spacious, but the new prison was narrow. For this reason, some prisoners sacrificed their lives for a few meters. We do not feel freedom except when we are deprived of it. These prisoners, including murderers and robbers, almost died for a sunbeam, for some air, or for a wider space

We have so many complaints about how things could have been better for us and how unfair things might at times be. And while that complaining is fair, I think we also really need to be grateful for what we have. And even though the air we breathe and the space we have to walk around freely is not something we should be taking for granted, and this story just goes on to show that. And yeah, like I said, it's so jarring, but it's such an important story

@Aishani

I think that is why I am on swell to just tell my part of stories as well. Stories that people might not have heard. Stories that people have heard but may not have seen in that perspective. So all in all, thank you very much for your kind words. And if you could give us a follow, that would be great. I would appreciate that as well. And, yeah, thanks. Bye
