Length is a season of reflection and preparation before the celebration of Easter. It is a period of 40 days of Lent. Christians replicate Jesus Christ sacrifice and withdrawal into the desert for 40 days. So Jesus like basically according to the Bible, jesus goes to the desert and there he gets tempted by devil, which is Satan. And even though he is tempted so much by this Satan, he sacrifices by not eating

But during these days, you just feel refreshed and you feel something other than this world's possessions have energized you and put you in another world. So this is my take on why we fast or why we have these kinds of periods in our religions and cultures. And I'd really like to know more about what you all do, what you all are there any other customs and traditions during this period? Because this was very new for me, that this is the first time I'm listening about it
