Skip the Digital Detox !!

article image placeholderUploaded by @Pragati.chopra
So basically people say that it is affecting our mental, physical, emotional well being. But I think it's all about addressing not by detoxing from technology altogether, but by trying to be more careful about how you're using it. We all set boundaries in terms of relationship, work and other things. So why not set boundaries when it comes to being in social media or using technology and stick to it?

You. So, yes, I think unlike a digital detox, where you have to surrender your device and delete your apps, I think you should just detach that you make conscious decisions about when and how you're using it. I think that's more powerful way which gives you the power to pull back at any point of time. Because when I detach, I'm in control of all my time

You. I don't think we need detox, Lall. We need is mindfulness to do things in that moment that we are fit to. Purpose is a very common corporate expression that is used to express whatever you are doing. Does that fit the purpose of the occasion or the task at hand and things like those

For me as an individual, one to one connect has been a very important aspect, important thing that I've always cherished and favored, of course, WhatsApp Facebook, Instagram allow us to talk to people and have conversations and sometimes even help each other out in some way or the other. But the extent to which you would go and keep doing it is also something we would need to look at. And again, as it was pointed out about the fact that we need to be mindful about it

But yes, for normal people, yes, one should set boundaries and be more aware what they are doing and what they are not doing on the Internet itself. So, yes, on that part it's like 50 50, but for different kinds of people. So it depends, totally depends on

Hello Pragati. I totally get where you are coming from. And in today's fast paced world it's hard to completely disconnect. And sometimes technology is a big part of our lives and we can use it mindfully to our advantage and we can just remember remember that the balance is a key. And it's all about finding that sweet spot between the digital world and the real one. And sometimes staying connected digitally can be a big, really big part

The next I can say that before using social media technology, ask yourself if it aligns with your goals or if it's purely a time waster. Be mindful of your users and make conscious decisions about how you spend your time online. So what should I say next is we can find some activities that we just enjoy and that don't rely on technology. This could include reading books, exercising, spending time in nature, or pursuing some hobbies and creative endeavors

Sometimes she does, then she's on and off on Instagram and that works fine for her. So I think we should all devise our ways. We should all be cognizant self aware of the impact that this technology is having on us. For instance, you know, I also understood and not just about phone. I'm also talking about Netflix and Amazon Prime. Binge watching, I think. I am not a binge watching person. I did it in college

So the moment you're feeling the issues with it, what we are doing is we are trying to completely avoid it. But completely avoiding it or completely moving away from it is not a solution. The solution you have is to limit it, to set boundaries on how you work on things. That is important because, you know, everything has its pros and cons

The biggest problem that I have is, as a new content creator, what apps should I use and what should I spend my time on and what people are actually interested in as far as do people go more on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook? Do people prefer newsletters? Where do people really stand on social media? Where they check this kind of information on my next blog, actually, or my podcast, little podcast will be about that

Hi, Natalie. Thank you so much for your response. And, yeah, I am a content creator on Instagram myself, and we have to spend a little more time in researching and looking what type of content people watch, what kind of content will impress our audience, and what is in demand. So I think we, as content creators, we need to invest a little more time on social media, finding out what's trending, what to make next, what can inspire people
