I am flawed and imperfect but still WORTHY !

article image placeholderUploaded by @Pragati.chopra
In childhood, we all have learned that we need to be perfect, that we have to look in a particular way, act a particular way, meet other people's expectations, even at the expense of our own well being. Of course, these impossibly high standards are unrealistic. No one can actually be perfect. I irritate people around me. I disappoint my parents, my bosses. I don't have time to cook. I shop a lot. I ate junk food twice this week

Why are you focusing on all of that? Why can't we just be the people that we want to be? And why can't we just be worthy in our own space, in our own mental capacity, in our own version of the world that we have to us? And you tell me, I want to know this from

And now that I know I don't fit into society's definition of perfection and I define my own standards of success and happiness. And this actually has given me a freedom to pursue my passions and my dreams, even if they don't align with the society. So my journey towards embracing perfection and being true to myself is a journey. And earlier, the way I was conditioned, the way I was brought up, made me think that everybody has to be perfect

Human perfection is a myth https://s.swell.life/STkqta8YUUQ3g6E

Hi, Pragati. Thank you so much for bringing in such a beautiful topic for discussion. I completely align with you. First and foremost, perfection is a myth, especially for human beings. You know, we are not perfect in any way, in anything whatsoever. And we are not supposed to be. We are supposed to be flawed. That is. And I don't even connect with the word flawed. I would rather say I'm unique. And every human being is unique

So the question here is can you accept others for what they are instead of what you like them to be? If that question is yes, then yes. You need not care about perfection or imperfection. Because both are myths. If one is myth and other is real. I don't agree. So when perfection is a myth, imperfection too is a myth. It so it's always good to cherish the uniqueness in others. Thank you. Bye

The only animals that show any signs of mental trauma are the ones that live in close proximity to human beings and therefore are affected by the mind of humans. And I think that just goes to show that in the animal kingdom, every creature is perfect because they are living a purposeful life. They are living their lives in accordance with the purpose for which they were created

They don't dwell on the past or they don't carry the psychological baggage of human thought patterns. Instead, they respond instinctively to the environment and circumstances around them. And this is the kind of presence that allows them to flow effortlessly with the rhythm of nature, following their intuition and finding harmony in the existence. So that was a beautiful book that in fact, that was the second book I'd read

But now if my son scores 85 in 10th, I seriously don't think anybody would give him the credit for success and all. Rather, people would be taking it like, why? You didn't score good marks in your exam. Didn't you work hard? What was the strategy? Was it very faulty or anything else that you were not paying proper attention to? So that definition of perfectionism, that standard of excellence, that bar keeps on shifting from one place to another

Also the other side of looking at it in terms of there have been conditioning, there have been instances saying key, this is the practice see the earlier days rituals had a particular practice because it also involved breath and few elements where it connects the community, family and all that. The practice has always been to do it in a certain way but there are many, I would say, discussions to that in saying why it is required

Hi Pragati. I am absolutely in love with the topic you have taken. And you know, there is no definition of the word perfect. During my classes, I learned that death is the only thing which can be called as perfect the. Because by the time we are alive, there is always a room for change, for accepting, for acknowledging, for assessing, and for adapting and adopting and adapting as well. So these all A's are so interconnected

Hi Pragati. My thoughts and your thoughts are always similar, I guess, because recently I have posted a video on the topic called Stop Validation or Stop seeking Validation. So when you were speaking, I could actually relate to most of the points that I shared through that particular video. And I agree. Most of the time we run behind perfection and in that process we actually wait for others validation. And in case if we are not getting validation from others, we feel worthless

People have some good qualities, some bad qualities and some qualities like we love to do with ourselves. Not everyone like no, like you said, Key, you ate two times junk food this week. It's okay. It's okay. It's your life. God has given you one life. You have the right to live the way you want. Okay? You have the right to express your views. You have the right to wear whatever you want
