How Big of a Role Does Writing Play in Your Poetry?
Are you one of those poets who, whatever you feel, you just come out with it? Right? You're not focusing on sentence structure. You're not focusing on those literary devices that a lot of poets tend to include in your writing. You're not focusing on just some of those other conventions that we see in a lot of poets poetry across the board, right? Or do you really focus in on those literary devices? Like, where can I add alliteration in here?
Which is really funny to me because I feel like even though I'm so, like, I'm definitely afraid of doing freestyle poetry because I feel like it will sound too differently, too radically different from the poetry that I actually write. I can actually freestyle monologues all day long. Craziness I know. I definitely understand, but all right, let me know what you guys think. Peace of power to the people
