Abandonment (1 minute essay)

article image placeholderUploaded by @PoetryByAtalie
Abandonment is a reclusive, societal based truth. To avoid need of one another. Independency has become so sought after that we forget human decency and heart. Independency, though needed in certain stages and ages of life is the lie of the ever so blinding herd. If we release ourselves from the idea of dependency we have great potential for an illness of our own intention through balance and context

#abandonment

Waiting for time to cut ties waiting for time that speaks lies to get away with leaving those we ought to love leaving those that need our love leaving those that need our acceptance and protection and prayers and hope and joy and strength and laughter and all those things that encourage us and bond us and bring us together is missing in abandonment. But that doesn't mean it's missing in us. Those who were abandoned, it's missing in those who do abandon

You. Excellent poem. You did very well. Excellent. I love how you bring not only your words to life, but the picture as well
