Shadow Work

article image placeholderUploaded by @Pixiepoet4life
You'll find that hidden jewels have the deepest glow because the less they tell you, the more you'll know. Then my mind asks a question my body can feel and my third eye is open so I know this is real what do I crave? What do I desire? What does it mean when a shadow makes fire? I always thought smoke and ash came after no. She tells me in a voice filled with laughter

You. What does it mean when the Shadow makes fire? Oh, my goodness. That line in particular just brings me shivers. There is a lot to be found in the Shadows if you are open to seeing it and to feeling it. This is a beautiful, beautiful piece. But I've come to expect that of you. Thank you for sharing this

You. I am sitting here with literal goosebumps over what I have just heard. The power that that comes from you when you when you voice it. This is everything that shadow work is. This is beauty. This is hidden secrets. This is fire coming from shadow, a shadow that knows your name. This is amazing. I just cannot express enough. This is so amazing and beautiful and true and shadow work is so deep and so are you

It is so humbling to share with all of you and you're all such amazing, beautiful poets in your own right. And I listen to all your work and it's inspiring to me and it lifts me up and it gives me hope and it gives me understanding and it channels into me other perspectives. And I find so much value in all of you. So to have you tell me that you find value in me, it's humbling. It's amazing

What is most beautiful in this life are the lives of my fellow human beings. And being on this platform and meeting all of you and having you to share with and to see your interaction and see your life and the amazing energy that comes from those lives is an absolute blessing to me. And to have made a friend like you, Renee, is beyond anything that I could have asked for, hoped for, wished for, dreamed of

I think you had a line in there. It said something like, sometimes the dark is the best place to see, ah, perfection and truth. So thank you. Absolutely love this one

And then honoring the work, honoring the connection to my shadow self. Honoring what my shadow self desires versus avoiding it or labeling it as bad. Very, very strong. Strong poem that resonates on a very deep level. Thank you for blessing us with these words. Bye

But instead of actually embracing that, we've been taught by society and by different facets of society that those things are bad things or negative things or because we experience pain with those things that we should not think about them or that we should overlook them. But the truth about pain is that pain is a signal for growth and change and it's supposed to teach you to pay attention, to sit up and take notice of scenes and most of the time those scenes can be quite positive

I'm just so glad to be able to share with all of you my journey and to have you share your journey back with me in these spaces. It is a lovely, beautiful gift to have that. So thank you for your reply and for being a part of this thread. It means so much to me

You. Hey, thank you so much for sharing that. I really enjoyed that piece. It has a really important message about accepting the whole self. Like us as human beings, we really have this concept of good and bad and always trying to be in what is what we deem to be good. But those darker parts aren't necessary necessarily bad. They are just a part of the full self

So this piece was really connected to that journey and me just taking the time to really think about the process of true self acceptance and self love because a lot of us out here have really difficult issues with loving ourselves and respecting the things about us that make us unique. Our society that we live in today is so judgmental and so condemning sometimes that it's very difficult to stand up and just be proud of who you are and exist in your own skin without feeling inadequate sometimes

I love this reply so much. Not only are you a talented poet, but you're an amazing teacher. And as I was listening to you speak about facing your fears, I was reminded of this quote perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are poetry writing to see us act just once with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence something helpless that wants our love. And that is kind of at the core of this shadow work, right?

And to come here on Swell and to meet all of you and hear your voices and listen to your poetry and see your art and your joy in your writing and your expression and to just feel that connection with you and have you reach out to me and respond back to what I am putting on this platform. It is an amazing gift and I am grateful for it every single day
