The Circa Survivor Pool: What would you do if you were one of the remaining four?

article image placeholderUploaded by @Phil
The circa NFL survivor pool is down to four entries. That is $9.2 million up for grabs. It is getting extremely interesting here. Now, if you're not familiar with this particular pool or survivor pools in general, circa is probably the biggest one, at least the biggest one that I'm aware of. It cost $1,000 to enter every entry that you put into this

You know, I never heard about this pool before in my life. And it's really, really interesting. It's something that I wouldn't mind getting into. I don't know, maybe for a $1,000, but maybe about a $200, $300 pool, I would jump into that one. But you're talking about $9.2 million

@Guruball1

So it's kind of complicated, but I used to be invited to them a lot, illegally, of course, but I used to be invited to a lot of them that were maybe $50 or $100 and those were fun. And you'd be surprised at how many people just go out in the first couple of weeks. It's just absolutely amazing. They are a lot of fun. But know, it doesn't seem as much fun as it does seem just sweating

@Phil I would take the prize!

For those who are able to make it through the first four weeks of the season, they tend to have better odds at winning some kind of prize. The last four or five weeks can be challenging as well because obviously football is a very dangerous sport. Injuries are going to take place. Some of the best teams in the league might be missing key players one week, so it can be a very interesting time, to say the least

@Edcellent Update

That's generally about the time where it just peters out for me and something unexpected happens. So I've never been in this position. So I probably would have done exactly what they did, take a little bit off the table and then play for the rest. As long as everybody else agreed to that, I would have not had a problem doing that. So this week we had the one guy that picked Cleveland and then the remaining and three all pick different teams

@Guruball1 @Edcellent UPDATE: Week 18, All 4 remain What do you do?

There's also one guy that has the Steelers and it's already known that the Ravens are going to be resting all of their players, and the Steelers have something to play for. But as we've seen before, the more pressure you have on a team to win, sometimes it just doesn't work out that way. So do you pick one of the teams that aren't in the playoffs?

@Phil 1) Bengals 2) Patriots 3) Bears 4) Broncos 5) Steelers #survivorpool

I would be surprised but not shocked if the Bears went into Lambeau field to beat the packers in the regular season finale, sending the packers packing, pun intended. Despite their win last week over the Los Angeles Chargers, the Denver Broncos took a ride out of the playoffs as a result of the Chiefs win over Cincinnati

Picks are in: Bengals and Raiders

But this is also a team that scored zero points against the Minnesota Vikings. I know they exploded against the Chargers the next week, but when there's millions of dollars on the line, I don't know that I would trust a team that is out of playoff contention. They're both out of playoff contention, so it's just an interesting selection to go with one of those games and we talked about it. Do you go against one of the playoff teams that's arresting their starters?
