This music is best described as indescribable. They started out in North Carolina as kind of a anti pop kind of band. They wanted to do something different, and different they did. Some people describe them as a little bit folk, a little bit zydeco from New Orleans, a little bit big band with the horns that they employ. But I just find them very hard to describe, and I don't think there's any need to describe them. And they're just fans and just wonderful musicians
