Pope Francis Allows Priests to Bless same-sex marriages: Will this have an effect at your church?

article image placeholderPope Francis Allows Priests to Bless Same-Sex Relationships
I wanted to get their feelings. I really wanted to know what people thought of same sex marriages and same sex clergy within their church. There were a lot of people that just didn't want to talk about it, just refused, just shut the window. Don't want to talk about it, don't want to even acknowledge. I respected that right. If they didn't want to discuss it. There were other people that thought, this is inclusive

And until we realize that, until we truly embody the idea and the heart of Christ and we all remain friends in Christ, these arguments are going to continue to happen, and they're going to continue to tear the church apart. So good luck, everyone

The Vatican has come out with statements clarifying that this is Pope Francis'statements to bless same sex couples is actually not at all changing the doctrine surrounding the Catholic Church's stance on marriage between the sanctity of one man and one woman. I would definitely read the whole document, which is accessible on the Vatican website called Fiducia suplikans, which not only extends the blessing to, in a spontaneous manner, same sex couples who would like a blessing, but also to marriages of heterosexual marriages that are not married in the church

Another thing I want to add is that ever since the pontificate of Pope Francis, there has been a real emphasis on his focus on mercy. He came out with a book called the Church of Mercy, which was the first Vatican authorized book detailing his vision for the church at the time. This was roughly released around 2013. He also wrote some encyclicals, such as Gaudium Evangeli, which is the joy of the gospel, Lumen Fideli and Amoris Letitia

Have faith in Jesus Christ, in a religion of Christianity, or at least a religion believes in God and recognizes who Jesus is and be born again going forth this day. I mean, it's that simple. I don't know. I don't know. I've only been thinking about this for 38 long years. All right, guys, I love

As much as I think this is a classic, you know, the purity of one's heart to serve the mission of Jesus Christ. Yet I felt very burned working for the leadership of the church in some respects, in some arenas, where there wasn't a respect for the dignity of my personhood, just even in a work setting. And so you'd imagine how much of that disillusioned me to how close I wanted to be to the fire, in a sense

I was working for a religious organization, doing a show that was for a humanitarian show that was doing good into the world, but that ultimately ended up being a very negative experience in my life. After five years of doing that and walking that path. Yeah, Hollywood got caught up with me. It leaked into the thing I was working on, and it tore it apart. But I'm not disheartened by that
