Amachi just looked at me in surprise but calmly replied I love my tali in my thread. Years later, when I was making plans for my wedding I wanted to know the mystery of why my Amachi never wore a gold ornaments. So one of the days when me and Amma was sitting at the terrace with dad I posed this question to Amma. She looked at me and smiled just like Amachi. But this time I wanted an answer to that question why doesn't Amachi wear jewellery?

Hello, Peeli. Just wanted to tell you I enjoyed listening to the story, and of course, it was rather an abrupt end because somehow the recording has stopped. You only need to click reply to keep continuing the thread. I would really love to hear the whole story and look forward to your post here on Swell. And hearty congratulations on your book. I look forward to getting a copy myself very soon

Somehow my love for gold also just faded away from that day onwards even today I don't fancy it and I'm out of my Amachi's legacy. After all, it's only gold

I love that the entire perspective that you brought with this story about how very easily she dropped that she wanted something, and she decided to drop that desire. And I think that has inspired you, her granddaughter, also right. To drop something that might not really ultimately bring any real meaning. Right. And incidentally, I also don't have much of a fascination for gold. Well, my name is Srija, and I'm also a malayali, so there were certain things that I could relate to

But when we go deep down, I very well can understand there is a reasoning to it. Even the simple thing of putting tulsi on the hair is actually to take off lies from the hair. It is a repellent. So all those small things has a deeper meaning to me at this point. And this is what I started bringing out in my stories and in the book, which I'm going to release. It's actually straight from the heart
