Work Life Balance? - Is it A Myth or Reality?

Work life balance matters a lot because if you just go on saying yes to all your work and you're stretching every day after office as well. Some people even are working on the weekends as well. You get easily frustrated. I had seen with myself and that had led me hopping from one organization to another organization many times. But now I have started saying no. After the nine to five shift, I say, no, I'm not going to do any more work

Now, if you're fortunate enough to retire and I say retire because not where you have these millionaires and billionaires that they're always scrutinized. They're always on the go. I highly doubt, like an Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos can walk quietly in public and enjoy their I'm sure they enjoy their wealth, don't get me wrong. But do they have balance for me? I've always worked multiple jobs. I'm 53, almost 54 years old. Always worked. For me

You. Thanks Brian, for this wonderful reply. Really appreciate your thoughts and views on this. Yes, I kind of agree to what you just told me, it is a mess, but I believe it totally depends on how you want to drive work life balance in your life. Say it was only related to the work which we are serving in office. Or maybe if you're a businessman you are doing in the service industry

I will be inviting you all to my work life balance conversation. I have been employed for eleven years, lot of promotions, got to a leadership position, then took a sabbatical, wrote a book and everything has been going fine. But I am guilty of doing the same mistake of not being able to recognize the balance that was required. And I was also guilty of doing that to my people like my team who worked for me. Because if I'm available, I needed them available too

Good morning. You put a lot in there to unpack, but I'll touch on a few things. I think I live in a society where everything I'm definitely not out to impress the neighbors. I'm actually a big fan of the kind of the millionaire next door concept, and I'll never probably be a millionaire, but the only thing that indicates I even have a good job is I have a relatively new vehicle

We understand that the biggest luxury one can have is the luxury of time. To be able to do what you want, when you want, with whoever you want and wherever you want. So luxury of time is what we are focusing on. So cheers to minimalism. It was lovely talking to you
