He played the role of a provider, protector and a spiritual guide for 14 long years. Most of what I know of Dharma was learnt over dinner in a humble hut. The king's honor demanded that I walk through fire. I was forsaken for the kingdom. Today he is Lord Ram, while they call me Sitama. Even the titles people bestowed on us built a wall between us. You love never played a role in our life together. Here in this small hut at the edge of the forest

Hi. It's interesting to hear and listen to one more perspective on Lord Ram and Sitama. Yes, she is a woman and her feelings are not examined enough by the chroniclers of history. She is a dutiful wife, a dutiful daughter and loving mother. So she fulfilled all the roles that is expected of her. As Manu said, she's someone's honor
