The most important thing to remember is to ground yourself. Bring yourself back to the present. Your body is feeling a threat that actually does not exist. Try to do things you would normally not do during an emergency or a stressful situation. Breathe really deep, smile. Try eating or chewing gum. This tricks the brain into thinking that you're relaxed and are in fact eating, which you obviously wouldn't do if you were in an emergency situation. An excellent grounding technique is the 54321

So basically the point is trying to snap out of it, trying to come out of it before before probably we hit rock bottom or something like that. But yes, if anxiety attacks or panic attacks are taking place pretty frequently, then one should definitely, definitely seek professional help
