Do Not Stand AT My Grave And Weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on the snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain when you awaken in the morning rush. I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds encircled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there. I did not die
I let out a cry I don't know why could be because empty is the sky am I feeling alone? Am I feeling distressed? But the death and the sorrow associated is a pain and void that you'll never be felt. I have seen those clothes wither away I've seen those lovelies fly into oblivion I've seen the dearest fall like a mighty oak tree however I remember their kind words for they inspire me to stand
Hey, Donnie. This is Chitra from the creative circle. This particular piece is very close to my heart because my debut novel, linger when you're gone, had a chapter title which was titled, do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there. I did not die. So this was my chapter title, and so I'm very much connected to the piece. Thank you so much for posting it

You. Well, thank you. You are very, very welcome. It was a piece that I ran into accidentally. Didn't realize that it was from 1934 and I thought it was wonderful. The original piece appears a on my Facebook page with music and video. That's quite nice. If you'd like to check it out, my Facebook page is Donnie Lansdale audiobook narration services and I have the video with the full poetic version. And thank you again for that. I appreciate it
