The Right Of The Child and the Parent VS Public Safety! What of the constitution?
Word choice is important here in these legal doctrines. If probable cause exists for the law enforcement officer to believe that the child committed a certain crime, so probable cause must exist. But here's another question. How is law enforcement defined? I think law enforcement is also defined as a school resource officer, and I'm not quite sure how that stacks up. So it's law enforcement as we know it, as our guys that are legit law enforcement. And then there's the school resource officer

I'm just fascinated by this whole, the Constitution part of it. So a lot of this, the implications of, you know, what we're talking about, of constitutional law violations or questions would depend on the specific language of the bill and how it is interpreted and implemented in its practice. And like I said, we're 25% there. I think that they're having a hearing on it. It is on my watch list

Hello? Okay, so here's a big one as a parent, parental rights. What of parental rights and what constitutes reasonable effort? It's subjective. So we would have to see some provisions in place there that spell out clearly what reasonable effort is. I mean, some parents are just not picking up the phone. What then? All the evidence goes away. But what of parental rights? When we think about the constitutional implications of interrogating a child without parental consent, period
