I've handed off responsibilities using that standard, and after a while, the person who's taken on the job has gone on to do it much better than I could. When that happens, it's very rewarding. Today I am surrounded by people on my team who do things much better than I do. They make up the difference in my weak areas and they exceed my expectation in others
