DO NOT GET IN THE WAY OF SOMEONE ELSE’S BOTTOM!

article image placeholderUploaded by @OnAcornBay
I'm not a strong swimmer so much anymore. I should get back on that. Once upon a time, I was a strong swimmer. How do you help someone without getting sucked under? And her response was, Miss Patricia, rest in peace, do not get in the way of someone else's bottom. What does that. And what did I do as a result? What was my action there or in action or passive action? What's the action that followed that advice?

Is it important? Does it need to be said? Does it have to be said by me.

And I learned from a very young age, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. So my first go to is quiet, like, you just pay attention. But one of the things that I had to learn when trying to get a message across to someone or delivering it was you can slowly feed it to them, slowly give them information. That way it clicks and eventually they grasp it

How do we decide who to help? How much of ourselves are we willing to invest

And as a leader, that question probably goes to you, which is, oh, here comes this person, man. They have all the dreams and stuff. Here's an interesting test that a friend of mine does it, and it was so clever until I realized what she's doing. But whenever I went to her for something, she always gave me homework. In order for me to get what she was giving me, I had to do something

It. That sounds really cool. I have not partaken in a project or a little collaboration in a little moment. That would be kind of neat. Yeah. Okay, so. Oh, my God, I had so many thoughts. I'm sorry. Okay, so I really, really like, like the idea of homework. I think I'm going to start trying that method because I found myself being that person for a long time

But if you went out and actively participated in and tried to do things to move that project forward, and you might not be where you fully want to be, but you've made progress, you've taken those steps, then I know you have the capacity. But then the next question comes, what's holding you back? What stopped you? Why haven't you completed it?

Maybe that purpose is the purpose that took them and made them feel like that they were tired of the addiction. And chey can walk away because that one person that never gave up and still showed them love and respect regardless of their bottom. A lot of people say that I'm an enabler. And I believe I have been for a long time because I have family members, uncles especially. None of my female relatives were ever on any type of drugs or heavy alcohol

And from that day forward, I make it my business to try and I don't know what the official term for it is, but I say, speak life into people that I come across because words mean so much and it was a real touching moment for me. But at the same time, I've literally seen the effects of drug and alcohol use for like years. You talk in 1020 years

@Chey Knowing Who To Develop

You never really know for sure, but I think I found a list here that I wanted to share with you, and it's John Maxwell list. And this is what I mimicked for my hiring process. And some of it, I think, can work with our projects as well as entrepreneurs and so on. Know what you need before you start looking for the person, right? So that's when we're looking for the hire. But what if somebody finds us?
