Perception: is it really yours ? Or just a mix of many other perceptions!

article image placeholderUploaded by @Nupur_23
Of that series, the real Mahabharat was from the perception of Vidhur. But have you ever given it a thought that how much mix perceptions actually influenced the way we see those series of events? Nobody knows how actually the event flutters. But what we know is that we have seen same stories through so many perspectives that we have finally jotted down some things that actually works for us within those stories. I just want to ask you a question now

And I would like to add more that perception is not reality, but it can become a person's reality as it has a potent influence on how we look at reality. So indeed, perception plays an important role in our day to day life and how we look upon things that is also based on our perception. And thank you for such an interesting podcast

Sometimes I can form the perception by listening the stories from other people or sometimes my own personal view. But yes, I totally agree with you the fact that yes perception can be formed from the other people judgment story because the very perception meaning is only like it refers to different mental process that we use to form impression of other people. I think this includes not just how we form this impression but the different conclusion we make about other people based on our impressions

We accept a thing as they were and move on with our life. But as we have gotten older, that filter has developed, right? So now what are we doing is we are able to filter out the information that isn't useful to us and only accept the ones that resonate with us. So it has become a default process now, filtering the information and accepting the words that are useful to us in the first place

Hi, Prachi. Thank you so much for your reply. And thank you so much for adding more value and more dimensions to this well. I completely agree with you, and you putting in the psychology perspective in between made this, well, more complete. I completely, 100% agree with you. And I just really feel that our perception plays a very important role in our character building because at the end of the day, it is. It all adds up to how we view things, right?

Hi. Thank you so much for your reply. Thank you so much for bringing in such an introspecting argument to this. Well, I also believe that if a person does not have a perception in life, discipline or dedication is very difficult to be imbibed within the person

And that's what makes each of these experiences unique. Each of us might experience the same thing, but feel different things about it. And that's what perception is. Our lives are shaped by perceptions. And perceptions though seem to be externally affected, are actually our own. Because whatever we feel, whatever we experience is like a universe on its own. Each of us are infinities of our own. And that's what makes perceptions unique. And that's what makes each situation unique

Hi Rucha. Thank you so much for your reply and thank you so much for giving such valuable suggestions. I completely agree with you that our perceptions are formed on the basis of our life experience and how we have lived up till the date. So I completely agree with you. And again, thank you so much for adding in more books to my to be read. I'm super excited to read them all over again and just form my perception based on them and things that I have read previously

Hi Nisha. Thank you so much for your reply. I completely agree with you on the fact that it is a very subjective topic and I just feel that it is the subjectivity of this matter that makes it even more interesting. Yeah. Perceptions for sure are formed on the basis of stories. They're formed on the basis of personal experiences and how we view things. And I think this is what makes it important. This is what makes it never end of a procedure

And I think at the end of the day it all just sums up to the fact that we keep growing our experience, keep growing the stories that we have heard before now are just added on more by our own stories. So perceptions are basically formed not just in a day or two, they're formed over the years, they're formed over the experiences and the life journey that we have been through

Ah hi nupur. First of all, a nice thought provoking talk about perception and mythology. I am also a very avid and keen follower of not only Devdat Patnayak, but in general mythology. My take is that there's a difference between perception and perspective

You. Hi. Thank you so much for such a wholesome reply. I couldn't just help myself to not listening to it all over again. You put it in the very how they say, just in the very right words that anybody could have. And yeah, I do understand your point completely. Well. And it has just forced me to think down even more on this
