The poem as oxygen

And the experience of seeing him own the stage in a full theater with his unique delivery. The way he owned his words and kind of really stood in his truth kind of blew me away and gave me a lot of confidence just to write for the joy of writing and to express myself without too much of trepidation. It was a moment and it inspired me to write that piece on the way home

Hey, Adenike, this is Stephen. I'm speechless. That was incredible. I wish I could have been there at that performance. I really enjoyed the comparisons to to an athlete. Um, you know, we admire the physical performance of athletes quite a bit, and rightly so. You know, what they can do with their bodies is amazing. But poets are kind of like athletes on the inside. I think we make our our soul kind of do gymnastics sometimes
