What do young adults really need and want?

article image placeholderUploaded by @Nola
As a parent, you have a hard time of just letting them go and letting life be the teacher. So I just wonder what advice do you have as a parent that you give to your children? Or what are your thoughts on not overstepping that thin line of boundaries?

I believe they want Support like we all do. But, as the parents how do we give guidance with out overwhelming and overstepping that thin line.

They'll come around when it's time to talk and then once they do, you could just talk to them in a way that like you're talking to another friend, an adult friend, because they want to be treated like that. They don't want to be treated like your child anymore, even though they know they are your children. You know what I mean? The love is there. So we don't have to treat them like children anymore

And you're winging it because you never had a mother this age before. And so you know what? Let's have grace and patience and lean in and seek to understand. I apologize if what I said landed as racist. That was not my intent. My sole intent is to protect you. And you know what? I am willing to change my mind

Her name is B, as in boy, K as in and kitchen space shivani Shiv as in Victor A-N-I. She does a lot on YouTube about loving from a detached space and what that means and what that looks like

Hi. Thank you for the response. I definitely have said or thought about maybe it's not my message that I'm delivering, but my tone. And I do have a big habit of saying, well, you need to do this. And I think that's where it goes well at. So I thank you for your response, and I will definitely keep that in mind of my delivery and maybe just keep the conversation short as well. Thank you

I thank you for your post and I definitely am looking forward to hearing more. If I have any other post to comment on. But I really do appreciate just working on them, not feeling like I'm judging them. Thank you
