Meet TED Fellows!

article image placeholderUploaded by @ninaberries
And this year the conference is bringing back a couple Ted feloows from the past decade plus of this program, which has seen some 500 fellows and we're going to get to meet a few of them. The first one is Mariba Jaw and I'm going to throw to Mariba. Mariba, tell us a little bit about your work and what you have done as a Ted fellow so that people who don't know how this amazing program works can learn a little bit about out how it's working for you

Hello. All right, so my name is Morbidjaw, and I am the co founder and chief scientist of Gravitar Space. And I'm also co founder and president of Morbidjaw Universal. And I became a Ted Fellow in 2019, I guess, the 10th anniversary of the Ted Fellows program, which was awesome. I am an astrodynamicist and a space environmentalist. So my job is to understand and study the behavior of objects in space

And I'm just curious, what's something in the last year that you've either been working on that you're excited about or discovered or learned? Thanks

So I think the most exciting thing for me is really seeing evidence that Mother Nature is able to provide that feedback if we just take our foot off the gas pedal kind of thing and then looking at how can I help raise awareness, recruit empathy across humanity towards this problem. And that really includes me venturing into the arts, getting more involved in TV, film, media, possibly writing some books, modeling, that sort of thing

Okay, now I'm going to try something, and I'm going to bring in a few other ted fellows, and let's see if they can join our conversation and tell us a little bit about what they've been working on for the past year and about when they became ted fellows. Welcome to the conversation, everyone
