Now this is from a Japanese movement called Children's Peace Monument which is located in the city of Hiroshima, which you all know was destroyed during the Second World War because of a nuclear disaster. That's the atomic bomb. So the story behind 1000 cranes is pretty wholesome. So the statue is based on the true story of a young girl named Sadako Sasaki

I didn't know about it, but I'm definitely going to Google it right now and take a look at the tower. If it still exists, I'm guessing it exists. So, yeah, I will definitely look into it because it's a beautiful story
