Going From Sales to Sales Engineer? This is my advise.

So what I told my friend was that I think he's experiencing to sells and sales could really translate a whole lot going into tech because at the end of the day, you're just selling a product, it's just a different product

One of my IG followers is in Sales. He wants to transition into a Sales Engineer role. He reached out for advise. (I meant Github Co-pilot.)

And I agree with you in that all the people's skills, all the listening skills, everything is about matching the customer needs to what your product or service can offer. That all applies and that is universal. I think the biggest challenge that people have is going from selling a tangible product to an intangible product. And that is something that a lot of people can't get their head wrapped around

We went to a planet where they make the v***** and everything, and I saw the sales process in front of me for the first time, where, yes, you go on site, you see what they're doing, you see how they're using your tool, you see how they're using your service and platform at this point is the software that we were selling them. And I was actually working directly on the part that the software project was entailing

But, you know, I've had an example where the client has asked, hey, can you do this? And an engineer that I had to take I'm not a sales engineer, but an engineer said, I think so. I mean, I'll try. I have no idea if it's going to work or not. And that's not how we sell. That's not how we bring something in there. And we're not asking you to lie at all
