Confidence

article image placeholderUploaded by @NeelimaChakara
Hi. Swell. I want to talk about confidence today. As a coach, so often I see the lack of confidence holding people back from doing their best and being who they want to be. We let so many things dent our confidence. One factor that I see affecting women more than men is is that no one in their family has done what they want to do. It is almost as if they do not have the permission to do it

And then those things, by listening to them every day, you feel that's your foundation now you are worthless, you will never do anything that becomes a part of you. Then I start growing older, meeting new people, new conversations, new listening people who tell you that you are worth it. You can do it. At first you doubt because you still have that you still carry that foundation from the childhood. You don't believe in yourself, no confidence at all

Malaykia, I love your response. I hope I'm pronouncing your name correct. Now, you brought out such an important point, the biases that people have that also affect the confidence based on our background, based on our circumstances, or maybe how we look. Sometimes people have an ingrained bias, and this concept is called Pygmalion effect. We behave the way people expect us to behave. It holds us back
