Letting Go to Receive More Part 1

article image placeholderUploaded by @MutedOwl
It's nothing better in life than to grow in God and have Him teach us and show us how we can survive without the things he has taken away. Sometimes with having what we have now can become a crutch in our life, we feel that we can't make it. We feel like it's the end. But honestly, when God removes it, it's only the beginning of something new in our lives

Good morning. Thank you so much for this. I think a lot about the times in my life where I was holding on desperately to something that I knew and was being guided to let go of. I had to leave a marriage and it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. But as soon as I did that, it was very unhealthy marriage. And as soon as I did that, I had a lot of healing to do

I needed to experience God. I needed to experience life, and I can experience it with them in there. So, yes, letting go is a hard process, and thank you for sharing that. And I pray you have a blessed day

And I think as lovers and healers and we might have a bit of a savior complex or, like, for me, there was a lot of codependency in that relationship, but that is almost as painful as the pain you're experiencing without them. Or more so, because you never want to hurt anyone. And you definitely don't want to be the cause of them hurting themselves. I totally get you on that. But it's so good that we're having conversations around all of this

My parents didn't go and as I have mentioned before to you, Utah Dal, that it's complicated my experience with organized religion. However, I think that in some ways as I get older, it's an undoing of things

But now in the loss of my young adult daughter, I find I no longer can do the old work, at least for now, and that I instantly have had to stop. And God has provided so that the people I worked for, my clients, were very generous and actually helped make a lot of the things that were my concern before being a non entity. And there was, like you said, when people just hadn't done you

It's a process of first letting go and then admitting that you have to let go, that you did the right thing. You have to keep telling yourself you did the right thing. And then it's processing the feelings of being without this person, even though you know you shouldn't be. It's a process. And even depression, getting out of depression, it's a process. Anxiety, it's a process

And I realized through the years of me being saved is that most people that say they are saved, they're just wearing a title. They don't understand the weight of being a Christian. A lot of people say they're Christians and they're not. They just like saying, I'm a Christian. And they don't understand there's more layers to it than just saying, oh, I gave my life to Christ, this is it. No, it's having your mind renewed

But I was thinking so much and not to trivialize letting go, but a lot of times that saying that people or situations or even places where you live, they come for a reason, a season or a lifetime, and it's usually one of the first two, right?

And I think, yes, I do think there are a lot of people out there proclaiming or think that they are Christians. And, you know, like scripture says that, you know, there's the Spirit's like I never knew. You also think that there's a lot of people that are Christians that do have that relationship, but with God, but then they forget and that doesn't really grow into something and how to relate to others

Hi, Lillo. Yes. I could relate to a lot of what you said about your personal relationship with the scriptures of Jesus and how it's what impacted me first. When I was a young child and I first heard anything about God, it was Jesus interactions with others. It was different. It was different, and it really impacted me, and it it felt different, higher, better than what humans would do in the circumstances and such
