Target Employee Sentenced to 100 Years for killing coworker over stolen lunch

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
Yeah, I could see a fight, an argument, an altercation taking place in the parking lot, something of that nature. But this I just don't know. And then the fact that he said, hey, if you don't lock me up forever, I'm just going to do it again. I just don't even know what to say to that. He's a young man, only 25 years old, and his life is over. Pretty much

And plus, him getting the help he needs, he ain't going to get it there. I also say this, that my cousin is a psychologist, and she at one point was in charge of the Cook county prison, which is one of the largest prisons, if not the largest prisons in America, and this is in Chicago. And she certainly advocates for the mental health of inmates

But it sounds to me, listening to a bit more of the story is this human being was pushed to a point that he no longer has any value for human life in any way, shape or capacity, and no compassion or empathy. And at least he's willing to admit it. I'm happy to hear that he is behind bars and I hope he remains there and I hope he gets the help that he needs

And the next you know, it becomes something else that it shouldn't. We call it face fighting or somebody step on somebody's foot. And even if you say sorry, they'll pull out a gun and shoot you and kill you. It's sad. It really is. For what? For nothing. For nothing. You know? And it's, you know, I mean, look, at the news, in the paper. This is all over

Now, they didn't say if he died or not, but she got off on bun, didn't have to serve any jail time. So it just makes you look at the judicial system to see how different it is depending on the angle it's coming from

Like putting some xlax in your food so they can get it or some milk of magnesia or something. They food so they can get sick like that and they make them not steal. Okay, I can see that. I can see that. You know what I mean? But to just kill somebody like that, that's crazy. He has to have some mental issues going on and maybe they're undiagnosed, you know what I mean?

That's no reason to murder someone. This guy is deeply disturbed. And I sleep better knowing that he is behind bars. So that's my take on this. Very disturbing indeed. Thank you for sharing with us. Bye

Maybe he was just working to earn a living. Maybe he needed to do his job. The thing is, we have the right to do our work in peace. Nobody should go to work feeling like you're going to be harassed. You're going to be called names, you're going to have your lunch stolen. You're going to have somebody steal your stuff out of your locker while you're working and just doing things to you

Maybe this lunch was the only meal he's going to eat today and it's been stolen. And maybe he's had a situation where his food gets stolen a lot because he's being bullied at work and people are just taking advantage of him. He might be a skinny little guy. He might be a guy that's quiet, shy, doesn't really speak up for himself

It's expensive to pay water and gas. It's expensive to put gas in your car. It's expensive to buy food. The stuff that used to cost $50 at the grocery store. Now you're going to walk out there paying almost $80 to get the same amount of stuff. It's like so much is happening in our world today that's causing frustration and anger, because people feel like, well, I'm helpless. There's nothing I can do

Yeah, I mean, maybe they gave him a lot of time because he said that, and maybe they felt like, okay, he could be serious about this. So since they see him as being a menace to society, we're going to throw the book at him because we can't afford to allow someone like him to be walking the streets in ten or 1520 years. We need somebody like him to stay behind bars as long as humanly possible

And he finally snapped like they all do, killed somebody. There's a lot of these are going to pop up in the news and they're popping up all over the place and people aren't catching them, but here's one of them. And, yeah, if you can't wrap your head around this is because this is how it's like in Iran. It's what it's like in these sharia law countries
