Being Single Does Hit Different At Night

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
And you realize that dinner may be alone or it could be with a friend, but it's still not the same as doing it with someone that you love and care about. So, yes, being single certainly does hit different at night. Of course, you get up the next day, the alarm goes off, you jump in the shower, get dressed, get ready, start your day, and your mind is completely focused on other things. And then you come back home the next night

And if I have a company, someone who makes me laugh that I can make laugh, that will be the time I will miss when I need to share something fun of course, the nighttime, that's more special too. Because you need to hold someone and you need somebody to hold you. That emptiness can be a little hard, but that also holding someone. It does not have to be at night. It can be in the daytime too, when you have a free time

Hey, Tanya. Yeah, I agree with you. At night is the worst time to be single. Like, it really does hit differently at night than it does any other time today. Because typically throughout the day, you're pretty busy, right? You're working, and then while you're at work, you're thinking about things that you have to do when you get off work, go to the store or whatever

And that's one of the things I struggle with. I'm like, I can't wait ten years for your kids to grow up, or my kids to grow up for us to be husband and wife. Because I'll be without a partner this whole time. I have a guy I talk to on the phone, a guy I hang out with, but at the end of the day, I don't have a partner

One thing you said that was really profound was like when you said, a single is not always the happiest time of your life. And I'm glad you said that, because I know when I was younger, that was preached to me a lot. Like just the best season of your life. Oh, my gosh. All the things you can do, the possibilities, you have options. You can do whatever you want to

So then they have to find somebody else who's either single or not bringing their spouse to sit with you so that they have an even number of people. It's just weird. And like, you were talking about the church thing where you had to go on rowboats and you needed a partner. It's like everybody knows who their partner is. And it's that awkward feeling of, okay, well, who's going to be my partner even at church?

I can lay on him and we could just watch this movie all cuddled up together and yeah, it would be great to have that. But I know that just like Maurice says, yeah. You feel the pain of singleness at various points throughout the day, but at night, I guess at night, too, you have more time to think about it. Like I said, during the daytime, you're busy. At night, you have more time to think about it. You're not distracted

So, yeah, single hits at different points of life, I think it's more or less certain events kind of trigger or kind of I don't know, certain events kind of remind you that you're single, I guess that's probably a good way to put it. There are certain events and certain things in life that remind you that you're single. And when you're busy and you're focused on other things, it's easy to not think about it

It this reminded me of something and my sister who's single, and she said that when it comes to going out on a date, she said that she preferred that it's in the daytime rather than in the nighttime. And she explained how the nighttime sets a different tone. The ambiance, going to lunch and going to different are two different things

And so it's a more casual situation in and it offers the opportunity for you to really get to know a person without there being sex on the mind. Because it's after sundown and you're in a dimly lit restaurant and the atmosphere is pushing people towards intimacy. It's set up that way to create that type environment
